Chapter 10

I get chase settled in the guest room and give him a shirt of my fathers so he can atleast sleep comfortable. "goodnight Chase, I'll see you in the Am" i said with a big smile. "goodnight Cas" he said with a cold tone. I move out of the room and go to the kitchen to make me some tea. I decide to go for a late night swim just to clear my head of everything that just happened. In the pool i take a few laps up and down and it doesn't seem to help me think. I then dive under the water as i come up i feel like somebody is watching me. I look around and its Chase sitting at the edge of the pool. "Chase you almost gave me an heart attack, what are you doing here?" i asked trying to get my breathing under control. " i couldn't sleep and i heard water splish splashing so i decided to come take a look and i found you here" he said with a smirk. "the better question is why aren't you in bed already?" he asked me with a smug smile.
"well basically the same i couldn't sleep, there's too much going on in my mind" i said with a small smile.
"what's going on in your head cassie?" he asked knowingly. "oh you know just dance class, sending applications to universities." i said with a smile.
"oh i haven't even asked are you planning on studying dance?" he asked. It takes a little bit long for me to answer him back."well i want to, but you can only dance untill a certain age and then your career is done, so i was thinking of studying law aswell. It's atleast a solid career to move into." i say trying to make the explanation as short as possible. "that's a good idea just go to a college or university where you can major in both." he replies with a smile. Chase and i sat outside by the pool for another 10 or 15 minutes and then i decided to say good night.
I wake up and all i hear is a commotion in the living room and it can't just be Sam and Chase. I quickly get dressed and run down stairs, almost running into my parents face first. " hi mom, hey dad how was your trip?" i asked with a big smile.
"good morning Cassandra it was good would you like to tell me why a boy slept over?" asked dad with a little amusement in his voice. He knows that i would nevet let a boy sleep in my room. " Chase slept in the guest bedroom dad, he was kind enough to take me to a restaurant where i had a date and he picked me up. "i said with a smile." okay Cassie how was your date? "he asked with a little concern." it was fine dad, nothing much to talk about actually."i said with a smile. After the interrogation we eat breakfast with my parents and then Sam and I start getting ready for the party tonight, I'm still not in the mood to go, considering what happened at the last one, but i would do anything for Sam and she really wants me to go. "Sam are we sleeping over at your place or mine tonight? “i asked."well your parents are back so why don't we make it at my place" she said with a grin."okay but you are not getting sloshed tonight please". I said as serious as possible. "don't worry Cas i made a vow never to drink again after last weeks party." she answered with a smile. I wonder if she will live up to her vow, she really does like to party and go out. I sometimes envy her, because she's so outgoing, im more restricted and don't really talk to people i don't know." okay Sam ". Is all i said i don't want her thinking that i don't believe in her or have faith in her. Sam went to go bath and i chose to go shower. I am wearing a red dress that is tight and tugs all the right places, i paired it with a pair of Louboutins. I decided to leave me hair curly and just style it a little bit. I put some make up on making a winged eye and just some red lipstick. I exit the bathroom and gi into Sam's room to see if she is done. Sam is wearing a black dress that is a little bit short and shows a whole lot of clevage and she is wearing a pair of white stilletto heels. "wow Sam you look amazing, i wonder who the lucky guy is?" i ask making a dramatic impression. "oh you know I've been eyeing that new guy in class, but you look sexy with all that red damn if i wasn't your bestie i would think you're going out to make someone in love with you." she says giggling a little. "after the last party i doubt anyone would talk to me so it doesn't really matter but atleast i know i look good." i tell her with a smile so wide it could be used as a bridge. Sam and I took an uber to the party, as soon as we arrived you could see everyone was a little bit tipsy or way drunk, and it looked like Sam wanted to get into the action aswell.
" im going to have one beer Cas." Sam says with a wide smile. I can't be mad at her after all i expected her to want to drink. "okay Sam get me one too please."i said. Im not really a big drinker but a beer or two is fine i know my limit. Sam leaves to go get our drinks and all of a sudden i realise that i hardly know anyone at this party and the house looks so fimiliar like I've seen it before, and then i see a hand waving me over, it's Zack. Shit i haven't spoken to him since our date and i hope Chase isn't here tonight its gonna be awkward already. I walk over to greet Zack. "hi Zack i didn't know this was your party." i said with a smile. "yeah Cas did Chase invite you?" he asked seeming upset. "ummm no Sam brought me here i thought it was a high school party." i said with a smile.
"ok so how have you been? “he asked with a smile" I've been good i wanted to apologize for not texting you since our date I've been super busy. "i said apologetically." it's fine Cas I've also been busy with projects. "he says.
Zack and i catch up for a while and then i decide to head out to the backyard. I come outside to find Sam bisy dancing with a guy but she looks a bit tipsy. I go and sit in the swings just to keep an eye out for her. A moment later someone comes up behind me and covers my eyes. The hair at the back of mt neck stand up straight and the touch of this persons hands on skin is making my skin go tingly. I move their hands away to see who it is and it's Chase.
