TIVELLY POV

Chapter name: surprise surprise

It's been a month since I became Kaidens girlfriend. We left the drug house shortly after that. I think it was from the cocaine incident but I'm not sure.

Nothing against the guys, we still see them a lot, we just needed to come back for law purposes.

Grey stays with us full time now, he sleeps on the couch and I still stay in Kaidens sisters room.

I go to school every day, even Saturday to make up for the hours I've lost. I am NOT trying to redo my senior year.

At school we've invited Kate into my group. Ray has a liking to her now.

Chloe doesn't like Kate.

Kaiden and Chloe are hostile with each other.

Kaiden and Leo are walking on glass around each other.

Both reasons unknown to me.

Work is better, Tony was fired after I told my boss about it. It took everyone a second to believe he would do something like that but my wounds were clearly not done by myself. I work almost every day until they can find a replacement for him.

Dan and Kaidens mom, Gemma, have met. I sometimes go over to his house to try to get to know him better.

Spoiler alert: he has a small drinking problem. He isn't a bad guy tho, he will never drink any alcohol when I'm around.

Aside from meeting with attorneys and investigators... my life has been the most peaceful it's been in a long time.

"Tivelly?" Reece sits criss cross in front of me, moving her character forward on the candy land board game.

Kaiden only left twenty minutes ago, enough time for Reece and I to pull out a board game.

"Sorry, I was distracted." I shake my head, bringing myself up to my feet. I look down at the game and at Kaidens sister, asking for her to give me a second while I get water.

I walk into the kitchen, my back aching from crouching. I stretch out while grabbing a cup from the cabinet.

I sigh, my breathing the only sound I can hear. It's so quiet without Kaid. I wonder when he will get back? I wonder where he went in the first place?

As soon as the water finishes pouring I bring the cup to my lips, letting the cold water fill my mouth and slide down my throat.

I look out the front window, placing my cup firmly on the counter.

I miss Bex.

The last time I saw my sister was whenever I had the wreck. I heard she is back in the house with mom and Phoebe.

I don't understand how they can go back there.

There's a light knock at the door and I lean forward to try and see the culprit of the sound. I frown in disappointment, realizing a plant covers the persons face.

I step out from the kitchen, eyeing Reece as she looks at the door.

Before Reece can get it I put my hand on her shoulder, letting her know I will get it.

I sigh, lifting myself on my tippy toes, looking out the peephole when a sight makes my stomach drop.

Able.

My heart races in my chest, I feel like my blood is flowing backwards.

Did he see me?

I lock the door and Reece begins to say something. I immediately place my hand on her mouth. Her eyes go wide and I give it a few seconds before taking my hand off.
