TIVELLY POV

Chapter name: Bullets flying

Appalling screams blast into my ears; my hands cover my ears as my knees hit the ground. Splatters of liquid seep into my skin, running down my face.

Kaiden grabs me, pulling my frail body off the ground, guarding me with his body. I feel frozen; time is slowly marching forward.

One moment Phoebe is screaming at me.

Able stormed in.

His movements were shaky as he pulled a gun out, aiming towards me.

The trigger of the gun was pulled.

Where did he come from? Where did he go? Was this planned from the beginning? Phoebe is also gone now.

I remove my hands from my ears and look up at Kaiden, who pulls me farther into his chest as painful screams ring out behind me. His eyes are wide, full of immense stress.

I push myself away from Kaiden with shaky hands, turning around to face Kate.

Blood runs down her arm as she wails. Her thick blood covers her clothes and the carpet. What looks like crimson paint splatters the wall behind her.

I watch in shock as Leo rips his shirt, tying it around the wound.

Everything sounds far, like in movies where the main character suddenly can't hear anything?

I stumble before catching myself. "I... I'm sorry." I tell her, reaching out and putting more pressure on her wound. Leo is screaming something at us, but I can't hear him.

With her blood-covered hands, she touches my cheeks, trying to get me to hear what she is saying. "You all need to leave. Just go to the school, act like you were there all day. You cannot get caught up in this." She whimpers as she speaks, grabbing her phone as she dials emergency services.

"Come on, we need to leave," Kaiden tells me, once again grabbing me off the floor and rushing me outside as Leo gets Jax.

"This is my fault," I tell him as he buckles me in the car.

"It's not your fault. He is crazy." He tells me, gently touching my cheek before closing the door and running around the car.

I know I was the one that was supposed to be shot. He has nothing against Kate. He has no reason to kill her but has every reason to kill me.

Leo and Jax jump into the backseat. Kaiden slams his foot on the peddle, speeding away from my half-sister, who is bleeding out inside the mansion.

"We are going to the school?" Jax asks as Kaidens wheels screech along a rough turn. I push myself farther into my seat.

"Yeah that's where we are going." Kaiden responds.

"That would be a great plan apart from the fact that Tivelly is covered in blood and I am a drop out."

I look down at my red stained hands and then gently touch the blood that has dried on my face. I open the mirror and look at her hand prints which are still on my face.

Kaiden glances at me before screeching to a stop. "Tivelly is going to put on my jacket to cover her face and then clean off in the bathroom."

"And what about me?" Jax asks, sticking his head in between the driver and passengers seats.

"Leo can take care of you. You both live with each other anyways." Kaiden answers them, pulling into the parking lot.

Leo scoffs, making Kaiden turn his head and question why.
