We can't always expect people to be there and treat us the way we want to be treated. Perhaps they have to deal with something far more serious than our own, or they too have to value the essence of being alone.
But the thing is, we need to take some time to reach out to them so they wouldn't feel as lonely as they thought they were, and in exchange for the effort they had exerted to be with us in times when we feel empty and no one else was there.
Remember: It costs zero to be there!
