{Written by the lovely Madison.}
Easton's mother had me sleep in the attic. I think she wanted to urge me out, but the attic was the nicest place I slept since I left my parents.

My parents always told me who I would marry...

I would marry a two with perfectly cut hair. With bright blue eyes. And a perfect smile that was so white you knew it had to be fake.

My favorite part about Easton,

was that he was none of those things...and he was the only one that ever really cared about me. The only one that ever really loved me.

And I woke up to the sound of him screaming my name.

"Ken!" I heard him scream. Even though I was in the attic, I heard his voice slide through the air.

I jump out my bed and ran down the stairs to his room, hoping his mother wouldn't catch me on the way down.

"Easton?" I ask, running into his room.

He sat straight up, his deep brown eyes - bloodshot, his dirty blonde hair - dishoveled, his cheeks - tearstained. I hoped to never to see him this way again.

"Easton...." I murmur as I walk over to his bed. I sit on the end as he tries to regain control of his reality.

He takes my hands into his. Not to long ago, I would jump away from such a gesture, but Easton...Easton was different.

"Talk to me Easton" I say, trying to pull him out of his thoughts.

"Stay with me..." he murmurs, his voice broken. I can only nod. I lay my head down on his chest and he runs his hands through my hair. I bite down on my lip.

"What happened?" I ask him quietly.

"It doesnt matter..." he mumbles. I want to urge him on but I decided against it. I sat up.

"Follow me." I whisper. He looks at me confused, but follows me to the roof. I sit down, leaning my head on his shoulder as we face the sunrise.

"What do you see?" I ask.

"The sun." he replies quietly, then he smiles a little. "Hope."

"I see you" I murmur. He gives me a curious look. I grin. "Your name. Easton. East." But he still looks confused. I laugh.

"East. The sun always rises in the East." I grin.
"Oohhh" he replies. I laugh. "Does that mean you're West?" He asks. I shake my head.

"No. I'm just Ken" I smile softly. "And your East." I pause.

"And my sun will always rise in the East."
