They had her. They had taken her. From my own arms.
I took a seat in front of the cage, my mother and my own sister had put her in.
And my job. My job was to make sure she joined us. But if... If she didn't. I would be the one to kill her. Her beautiful green eyes going a hazy, her lips never to speak another word, the blood as red as wine. I shook my head.
No. I would never let that happen. She would listen to me. If not I would give up my life for her.
Her mission: KILL HER PARENTS
It wouldn't be to hard would it? She hated them anyway. She would pass initiation and I would be able to be with her.
I stared at the cage waiting. I could see the outline of her body, weak from the lack of food. And I was sad to think she may get worse while she was here.
"East......" She asked in a raspy voice. I couldn't bring myself to respond. I just sat there staring at her, wanting to take her away from this place. But my leaders would never allow it and for that I hated them.
Kathrine, another rebel who I had known since I was little, walked up behind me and laid her chin on my shoulder.
"Who are you staring at?" I didn't respond.
She smirked. "Kenneth Grace Williams. Runaway." I shivered.
"I guess your in luck. I was assigned to your mission, leader." I closed my eyes holding back tears.
"Weak." I heard her say as she walked off.
I turned my gaze back to the cage and Kenneth.
"East......" She said a little louder than before. "I know you can hear me and I know your there. Just.....just say something. Anything."
"Rebels. Later." I say those two words hopping she would understand. And from the way she stopped talking told me she had.
I sat there until I knew the coast was clear.
12:00 pm I got up from the chair I was sitting on and unlocked the cage slowly, making sure it made no nose. I swung the door of it open and she practically jumped into my arms. I hit the ground with her on top of me. She hugged me tight.
"East." She said as she played with my hair.
"Ken." I said my voice shakey.
She kissed me and I kissed her back. She pulled away slowly and stood up, beginning to look around the small room she was in.
I sat up watching her. "I am so sorry." I looked at her with tears threatening to spill over.
She looked back to me. "What is this place? And why what was that guy talking about?"
I took a deep breath. "This is the Northern Rebels base. And that guy is one of the leaders of us."
She turn to look at me. Her eyes full of fear.
"And you...... your one of them?" I nodded, looking down. She made me look at her by moving my chin up with her fingertips.
"East.....why? Why do they want me?"
I looked into her eyes and began to explain.
[Hope you guys enjoyed. I am obsessed with writting for this book.]
