I layed in my bed looking at the ceiling. Thinking. Not really about anything in general. Just life.

Soon the door opened and my mother and my sister rushed in. I sat up and looked at them.

"Is there a reason your in my room?"

Cassidy smiled.

"Of course." My mother said and set a envelope in front of me. I studied that envelope for what seemed like hours.

The crisp white evelope, lined with gold accents. It had already been opened. I picked it up and flipped it over. Where the flap should have been closed lay a seal. The royal seal. I looked up at my mom.

"What have you done?" I asked as my eyes filled with rage. She just smirked at me.

Now I really need to know if my guess about this envelope was correct. I looked away from my mother and slid my hand in to grab the letter that lay inside.

I slowly unfolded the letter as my eyes moved though the words typed on the page.

Dear Easton Young,

We are pleased to tell you that you have been selected to participate in Illeá fiftieth selection. You will be fighting for King Dylan and Queen Bambi's only daughter. Princess Mia...

I stopped reading after that. It was hard to remember what happened next. Was it yelling or passing out?

All I knew was that when I woke up my cheeks were wet and the door was locked.

I picked up the letter from off my bed and threw it out the window.

This was horrible. I held my head in my hands as I cried.

I was already in love with Kenneth.

I would have to go to the palace to get details on the royals and selected for the rebels.

There was no way I would be able to get out of this.

Plus Princess Mia was my cousin. My mom had come from the Schreave line. Which made me a Schreave.

I wouldn't be able to give my heart away again.

Kenneth already owned it.

And that's when it hit me.

Where was Kenneth?

I ran to the door and pulled on the knob.

"Please.... PLEASE....." I cried trying to open the door. "Where is Kenneth? I need to see her.... PLEASE...." I crashed to the ground in a heap.

I needed to see her. I closed my eyes and fell asleep on the floor.

This was not a good time to be in a selection. I had nothing else to give.

No heart. No tears. No love.

Everything was gone.

All I was.... was..... Eastson Young.

A rebel leader.

A traitor.

A star crossed lover.

Broken.
