Squeezing the excess water from her hair she stared at her reflection. Slowly tracing the bruises, she wondered how long it had taken till she would've been gone. Who'd go to her funeral? Or if he would've chucked her body else where and she'd be buried beneath piles of rubbish.

It'd been a while since she'd had a proper look at herself in the mirror. So much had changed so fast. Only a few days ago she was continuing a facade and now she was following a stranger and staying in a friend of his house.

"What has my life become?" She sighed.

Slipping into a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt, she jogged back down the steps to stuff her belongings in her suit case. Reaching over for the first aid kit she scavenged through searching for the ointment. Grimacing, she gently slathered the cream round.

"You need some help?" The lady sat right beside her angling slightly. Grabbing the tube she squirted a pea size amount spreading the cream round. She then grabbed a bandage from the box, skillfully wrapping it round Genevieve's neck.

"Your really good at this, are you a nurse?" She traced her neck.

"No," she shook her head. "My husband used to do some risky work and you just learn it." She laughed but the friendly smile didn't match the sorrow in her eyes.

"That explains it," i reciprocated with a polite smile. "You have a lovely home might I add."

"Thank you, I guess that's one pro of this shithole," she grabbed the kit tucking it away in a cupboard.
"How does one meet a man like Trevor casually?"

"You could say I almost ran him over," she slumped into the couch.

"You would've done a bunch of people a favour if you hadn't missed," she groaned.

"He seems to be very popular?"she twirled with curls of her hair.

"For all the wrong things," she plopped down beside her once again. "But i guess there's a sense of liberty doing whatever you want."

"To not care about being judged,"Genny quietly laughed.

"To live life carelessly," Amanda grinned to herself. "I will give it to him, his committed to his moral and great with the kids but-" She shook her head. "His dangerous for my  family."

"I can see that," Gen admitted.

"It's just i finally got to restore a piece, a fraction of me and Michael is marriage," she sighed. "I just don't want to-"

"Mess it up?" Genevieve finished.

"Exactly," she nodded. "He's always been a bit softer to Jimmy and Tracey, Heck! I was happy when he finally got Michael of his ass and to the audition."

"But?" She probed Amanda on.

"I fear one day it will all change, that he'd suddenly flip and loose the little remaining reason within him." Amanda huffed.

"And harm you?"she asked.

"Who knows what he'd do?" She leaned back, staring at the cieling above. She then turned to the side and looked Genevieve dead in the eye. "Be careful with him."

Knock! Bang!

The noise outside was then followed by a thud and slurred groan.

"They must be back," she pushed herself of the seat, heading towards the door. "We're here presenting at today's circus, Two bumbling fools!"

As soon as she opened the door, Trevor rolled in bumping his head on the fist step. Micheal groaning
as he attemped to crawl through the door. "Ta Da!" Amanda chuckled holding the door open as Michael patted around the floor.

What a wonderful sight to rise the mood.
