"Do you know how the music system works?" I say suddenly.

"What?" Lia replies, clearly baffled that's the first thing I say after finding my jacket and receiving texts which are a pretty clear threat.

"Yes or no Lia?"

I don't mean to be rude to her but I'm far too amped up right now to fluff around the details. Plus, I have a maximum of 10 minutes before the Coaches grace us with their presence and I intend to make every minute count.

"I don't." She sighs but before my plan fully falls apart before it even begins, her face lights up like a Christmas tree. "I don't know how to work it," she turns around and her gaze falls on a cluster of players, notably including Hugo Morris, "But he does."

"And he'll help his best friend's arch nemesis because...." I ask, pointing out the obvious flaw in her plan.

She turns back to me, a mischievous gleam in her eyes, "Becauseee he owes me a favour"

My jaw physically drops and my words are slow as I comprehend what Lia just said, "What did you... possibly do... that means Hugo Morris... owes you a favour?"

Lia winks, "A story for another time my darling."

Well consider me intrigued.

"So what's the plan?"

"Mason's made it pretty clear he's not letting his little game go, so..." I look over at him, now talking to freshmen on the team, "It's time I play it better than him."

"Girl you're so hot when you're plotting." Lia replies and I chuckle.

"Good. It'll get me his team's attention."

"I thought this was about getting back at Mason?" Lia quizzes.

"Oh my dear Ophelia, the best way to beat the person who everyone worships is to rip his pedestal out from underneath him in front of his worshipers." I shrug, feigning innocence, "It seems only fair I get my own musical moment at his expense instead."

"Oh this is going to be amazing" She says, practically jumping in excitement. She runs to the end of the row and I just catch up as she throws her bag at me.

"Grinksy's bringing your skates today but she'll come down to the rink early if you go to get them now so use mine. Lace up and I'll cover the music."

I nod, a renewed feeling of determination sparking inside me now that the plan's a go.
