I wake up to the sun beams filling my eyes, just barely blinding me. I always sleep closest to the wall because if you sleep on the outside, you're in the direct spot for being attacked by the sun.

"Ow, what the fuck!" Josh yells from behind me.

I jolt forward and look back at him. "What? What happened?"

"The fucking sun is too God damn bright!" He yells again, rubbing his eyes.

I laugh and fall back down in my spot, this time I'm facing him. I lazily put my arm on his stomach and nuzzle my face into his neck. He chuckles and holds my hand in his.

"I wonder how the school is going to react to us dating." He says.

"Why does it matter?" I ask.

"It doesn't, I just don't want to fight anyone for being mean to my baby."

I giggle and kiss his neck. "Is it too early to say I love you?"

"Uh, no, I don't think so."

"Okay cool, because I totally love you."

He chuckles and kisses the top of my head. "I love you too, Ty."

With a small smile on my face, I feel myself about to drift back to sleep. I love this boy so much.

An hour later, Josh wakes me up from him talking on the phone. I think he's talking to Laura but I can't really tell. I sit up in bed and rub my eyes, blinking a few times to adjust to the brightly lit house.

"Yeah, I'll let you know, okay?" He says calmly into the phone. I don't think he knows I'm awake as his back has been turned to me the whole time.

"Okay mom, okay. I'll wake him up, we'll be there shortly. Just lock yourself in your room, I'll let you know when we're almost there, okay?" He pauses for a second. "Okay, I love you mom, just be safe." He sighs and pulls his phone away, hanging up the call.

He mumbles something as he starts picking up the mess we made. "Tyler!" He yells. "Ty, you need to wake up, we gotta go."

"I'm awake, what's going on?" I ask, staying seated on the bed.

"My mom is in trouble, she thinks someone is trying to break in."

"What? Why doesn't she call the police? She knows we're three hours away from her!"

"She doesn't like calling them, Ty. They've never helped before and they sure as shit wont help now." He turns to look back at me with pleading eyes. "Now please, get up. We have to go."

I throw the blanket off me and instantly slip on my adidas slides, then help him pack everything up. Once we have everything together, I open the hatch and walk through the trail back to the car, J following behind me. Well, we're basically running to the car.

As we approach the car, I pull out the keys and unlock it before throwing the bags of stuff in the back seats. Josh does the same then we get in the car, and I immediately drive off, speeding down the road. Josh calls his mom as I merge onto the highway, I completely block out their conversation as I focus on not crashing into anyone for how fast I'm going.

I make the three hour drive in an hour and a half, with the gas tank on 'E'. I pull into the empty driveway to the house next to ours, so we don't alert the possible intruder.

"Alright, I'm gonna go in and make sure it's all clear then I'll call for you." He says, unbuckling and kissing the side of my head. "Do not come in until I call your name, no matter what you hear, okay?"
