It's saturday, i'm going to work with mama today cause i plan on applying to be a hospitality aid at the clinic she works at.

"Don't worry yourself my love, you'll do just fine" mama says giving me her best reassurance. I, on the other hand i'm a nervous wreck. Palms sweaty, leg bouncing, pulling and twisting my fingers waiting to be called in for the interview.

"Ms. Harrison, we're ready for you". i smile and nod at the nurse ushering people in and out of the office. I walk in and it's not as bad as I thought.

It's just a middle aged woman that looks like she needs help pulling a stick outta her ass.

"Have a seat Ms. Harrison". She wastes no time in asking me the basic questions. My age, previous work experience, school schedule.

We go over the normal interview questions, "Tell me what makes you think you'd be a good hospitality aid at this clinic".

I let out a huff, "i won't lie and say i'm a people person, but i do love people, if that makes sense. helping people who can't help themselves is a big part of what i stand for. I've also always dreamed of working with people and medicine and things like that. it's what i feel i'm called for. I don't do a lot of interactions, but i assure you if i got this job, id excel in it", I finish strong and with a smile.

We finish with the interview and the lady let's me know she'll give me a call monday afternoon to let me know if i got the job. I'm excited

I head over to the ice cream shop Eletina works at. She was working that day thankfully and she seemed to be extremely happy talking to a particular customer.

"Hey beautiful", walking in and looking between her and a tall, brunette boy with tangy pink all over his face staring hopelessly at Eletina.

"Heyy, wassup. Oh this is damon by the way. He's a regular customer around here". "Hey", he says, "i'm damon, nice to meet you", "i'm kora, nice to meet you too".

After the introductions he grabs his ice cream and heads out, not before saying goodbye to eletina.

"Eletina Jones who the fuck is that and why was he staring at you like he's lost in love". She laughs, "oh, he's no one. he just comes here a lot and he goes to our school too". i smile at her knowingly.

"How was the interview", she asks, totally switching the subject but i leave it be. "it was good, i think i did good, the lady seemed to have a little knot in her back though" . She giggles at my comment.

We continue to talk about work and school  stuff for about an hour. it wasn't a busy day today so the ice cream shop didn't have a lot of customers.

I soon learn that Eletina's parents on this shop and she takes turns with her 4 siblings running the place since their parents are out of town so much. Both her parents are travel nurses. They make a shit ton of money.

Paityn comes in, seemingly in a good mood. She doesn't work far from the Ice cream shop. She works at a flower shop only a couple stores down.

"GUESS WHAT GUYS", she prances in like she just got a star out of the sky handed to her.

"I know school only just started but my parents totally just bought a condo in montana and said we could go there for Christmas break", she says all in one breathe. Eletina and I look at each other and laugh excitedly.

"We can also have 3 more friends come along, but since it's just us. YOLO". We all laugh at the fact we're all extremely Anti-social but paityn is a big extrovert. She makes it work.

"I'm sure we will have fun with just the 3 of us". I say cheerfully. Besides it's only the first week in September. Who knows we might have more friends by then.

At least now i have something to look forward too.
