I haven't talked to my friends or Kora in weeks. We're back in school now and they all avoid me. They don't stay for lunch anymore.
Even my mom and brothers aren't speaking to me.
When my I got home that evening my mom and brothers were giving me the silent treatment. I wanted to tell my mom so badly the truth of it all but she wasn't giving me a listening ear.
I called Kora's mom a few times to check on Kora but she answered once and never did again.
I had seen kora today go into the library with the group. Sean saw me but he looked down and kept walking.
I was about to leave school when I saw Kora walking out the building
I ran up grabbing her arm and pulling her into the nearest room i could find. i just needed a few minutes to tell her the truth.
"Who the fuck-", she was cut off when I turned the lights on and she saw my face.
Pain immediately rushed over her expression. She tried to make a run for it but I didn't let her.
"Dean let me go or I swear to everything good and great i'll scream" She says in a choking voice. I think she was about to cry. Oh- she never cries unless she's mad or really hurt. She's both right now.
"Please listen to me", I try to reason with her. She turns around shoving me. "You fuckin liar". She chokes.
She looks at me breathing heavily. She looks like she's trying so hard to keep her composure but failing.
"you know what, Fuck you! I never wanna see you again".
She's trying so hold in her tears but she's failing terribly.
I try to grab her but she jerks away from me.
"You- you never liked me, you did all of that for revenge. do- do you even have a heart?". She says sniffling on tears.
"Kora please just listen, i promise I can explain". I try to get out.
"No you can't Dean. how do you want to justify using me to get revenge for your little girl toy, huh?". That stung but she was right.
"You- you were the first and only person i let touch me-", I was unable to hold her stare otherwise i'd start crying too.
The next thing I know she pushes pass me and runs down the hall and out the school.
God.
All i need to do is tell her the reason why i did this. Olive had leverage over me. I need to tell my mom too.
I drive home thinking about two things. kora and how the hell im gonna tell my mom my crazy ex fling knows about her horrid past.
This wasn't going to be easy.
I arrive at my house and realize my mom was home, her car was parked.
I walk in the house and she's in the kitchen making dinner. "Hey mom".
She looks up at me then looks away. She's still ignoring me. Just like everyone else. "Look I have something important to say, so please stop ignoring me".
"The only way i'll listen is if you tell me you found away to fix that girls broken heart Dean, i will not listen unless-" She doesn't get to finish that, i interrupt her.
"Olive threatened to tell everyone you got beat and ran away from dad. She had evidence that showed you changed your name and mugshots of dad she also said she would release to the whole school".
My mom looks up from peeling her carrots utterly shocked. "Dean-".
"Mom, I didn't want that, she used you as leverage over me, knowing you are the only other person i love as much as i do kora".
"You love her?". Mom stutters out.
"So much. I feel terrible that I didn't tell her this sooner but i wasn't with her for revenge, I really did like her from the beginning".
She drops the things she was holding and walks over to me, "I'm sorry, i'm so sorry she used me as away to get to you". My mom cries into my shoulder.
"Im sorry I didn't tell you sooner". My mom wipes her tears dry off any tears. "Okay, we need to get you your girl back". She smiles at me.
"Like hell we do, but how?"
"First off, you need to tell your friends what olive did". She says.
"But how do i do that, they won't even talk to me".
"I'll call them and tell them to come over, I wanna talk to them". With that she grabs her phone and dials Damon. "Hey D boy, whatchu doing", she says into the phone.
I couldn't exactly hear what he said but mom smiles. "As always, um do you think you and the rest could come over to my house in like 10 minutes".
"No Damon, Dean isn't home". I look up at her confused. She gives me a sad smile. I understand.
"Okay great, see you son".
"I'm guessing they still don't wanna see me". She looks at me and exhales briefly. "well they are gonna have to suck it up".
Since they were all together already mom said Damon said they'd be here. I'm a littler nervous.
They arrive and walk through the front door without knocking, they are all bickering and laughing about something till their eyes land on me.
"Momma D you said "the jerk" wasn't gonna be here". Damon says glaring whole glaring daggers at me.
"Well i say a lot of things. I needed to get all 4 of you here somehow, Dean has to tell you something".
"I swear if it's another apology we don't wanna hear it". Sean says.
"It's not. it's more important".
I finish telling them the whole story and BOY are they PISSED.
"I swear if i see that bitch again i'm gonna rip her by the silicon boobs". Eletina says through gritted teeth.
"I'm gonna rip her extensions out". Paityn threatens.
"I'm gonna hit her with my car". Sean says deadly.
"I'm gonna put her in a fuckin dog cage and shit her off to australia". Damon says deadly also.
Yeah, i'm never getting on their bad sad. Kora is rubbing off on em. kora
"Dean you should've said something sooner man, now look where you're at". Sean says.
"I know, I know. I'm sorry".
"We shouldn't be the ones you apologize to Dean. Although if you try to apologize to her she'll probably rip your balls off". Eletina says.
I look at her a little shocked. "Yeah, she wasn't holding up well, i went to her house the other day and she kept punching the punching bag till she bled". Paityn says with a look of concern on her face.
"Yeah when i went over she almost took my head off with her katana, she's barely spoken words to anyone". Damon says.
"Poor girl, she's really hurt". Mom says.
"Look dean, we forgive you. But she might not, you gotta do something bro". Sean says.
"And do it fast, id like to go over her house without fearing for my life". Eletina says and they rest of them agree.
"I don't know what to do, she won't even look at me let alone talk to me. I tried talking to her today but she pushed pass me and left". I sigh feeling defeated.
"now we know, we'll help you think of something to get her back". Paityn says reassuringly.
"Operations get dean's girl back is a Go". Sean says sounding like we're in a spy movie.
I missed them.
