'My parents don't trust me. But more importantly they don't trust Clementine. They think she's some kind of girl who breaks all of Deanville's rules and gets away with it. If anything that would probably be me given I am breaking the rules right now. Yes, Gale Averell, is breaking the rules. It's not that bad I'm just talking a walk...alone.
I don't even understand that rule. What's so bad about walking alone?'
I dropped my pencil on my note book and preceded to put it in the twisted wire spine. I put this all in my emerald green bag. As I continued walking I kept thinking about that question I've had. Why is that even a rule? What's so wrong about walking alone?
I walked up to Clementine's cream house with red brick detail. It was probably the prettiest house in Deanville. It had big white, square windows with white lines going through the glass. A red door like every house in Deanville(another rule). I knocked on the door and waited until I heard small footsteps they were obviously from Clementine's Soriee It Again black heels (image at the top). She opened the door probably confused why I was here because I always call before I come over. "Can we talk?" I asked.

"So. Your parents don't trust me because they haven't met me?" Clem questioned. "Exactly! Their logic is killing me. They always tell me not to judge people and here they are judging you. And they haven't met you!" I yelled in rage. "So they have invited you to dinner today." I told her. Her eyes widened. "Dinner?"
"Yeah."
"With your parents?"
"Yup."
"That don't trust me?" She finally finished. "Yes." I sighed. "It's only dinner. And I want to prove to them that your not dangerous or a bad influence." I pressed.
"Fine." She sighed.

"Mom, Dad." I yelled walking through the doorframe of our front door. "I'm home!" I yelled again. "With Clementine!" I yelled. "Clem!" Clementine scolded."Welcome, Clem." My mother greeted sweetly. At least she likes our friendship. I thought to myself.
"I've made Fresh Vegetable Lasagna(Thewalkingkelp haha)."
My mother said. "If that's okay with you.""That sounds lovely!" Clementine exclaimed trying to sound excited and not dangerous.

"So Clementine, what are your hobbies?" My father questioned giving her a look. Oh, no. "Well," she started. "I'm really into pottery and journalism." She replied with a sweet smile of defeat. My dad had done nothing but try to get Clem to crack and confess to breaking rules of some sort. It wasn't working.
"Dad." He sifted his body to look at me. "Can I speak to you in the living room?" I asked. He nodded.
"Why are you trying to make her crack. She's not hiding anything. Just expect she's a great person." I whisper-yelled. "I'm sorry Gale, she's just not trustworthy to me." He confessed. "There's just something not right about her. You've been friends for five years and we haven't met her? That's a bit strange."
"There's something else." I concluded. "What is it?" I demanded.
"None of your business Gale!" He yelled. "Let's go back to the dining room and finish dinner." He said walking back.
I stood there stunned.
What was that about?

Sorry this is a bit short but I hope the suspense is building up. Please tell me if it is or tell me if you have any ideas. I'm sort of stuck on what to do next. I know what I want to happen but it can't be to early into the book. I'm not giving up on this series.(Also I will not give out any spoilers. Not even to Thewalkingkelp ,TheWalkinTomato ,Baconlady , or TheWalkinPotatoChip )
