'If Deanville is the safest place at the moment then why does Grimville seem so...nice. They don't have many strict rules, or stupid rules that make less sense than a sweater with five holes.'

Taking my phone from my bedside table I strolled through my contacts until I found Jeremiah's name.

"Huh?" He asked obviously just waking up.

"Did I wake you?" I asked.

"Yes..."

"Well, sorry." I whispered.

"Why are you whispering?"

"Because I just remembered I have parents."

"I love it when you make fun of me." He said groggily.

"Are you okay? You sound like you could pass out in four seconds."

"..."

"Hello?"

"..."

"You there?"

"..."

The line went dead. "He fell asleep." I said aloud to myself. My mother popped her head through the door. "Who fell asleep?" She asked. I panicked, "Um, uh, no one. It was a character in a, short story in writing." My mom looked hesitant. "Your writing a...story?" She asked. "Since when?"

"Last Thursday." I answered quickly. "Okay, I'll leave you. I just wanted your laundry." She reacted for the basket. "Goodbye, mother."

"Dude. Get up." My eleven year old brother, Steven said growing a pillow at my head. "Come on." He groaned trying to drag me out of bed. "Mom's outside to pick you and Tobias up." When I heard that I shot up in bed. "Please tell me the entire family isn't here."

"They are." He said with an evil grin. "Eww! Put a shirt on!" My 3 year old twin siblings Luna and Luca yelled in perfect unison stepping into my bedroom. "Get out!" I screamed pushing everyone out and slamming the door. "My gosh, you guys are so damn annoying!"

"Mom!" Luca yelled. "Jer, said a curse!" He tattled running with Steven and Luna. "Ugh!"

My family gives me about a 0.5% of privacy. It's annoying, they don't care about my feelings. "You okay, loser?" My 14 year old sister, Carli, asked outside the door. "Not you too." I groaned. "Sorry, at least I care about your well being." She said a bit sassy, which didn't surprise me. "Leave me alone twinkle toes."

"Whatever." She said again, with sass. I pried open my dresser mindlessly throwing clothes into my suitcase. Tobias and I were staying at our family's small get away house just outside of Deanville. Gale had come over last night for a few hours, she's never seen the real house or met the rest of the family. When I was done packing everything of course someone was waiting outside the door. It was Carli's fraternal twin Charlotte. "Will you guys leave me alone?"

"Sorry mister, not-a-morning-person, Mom told me to rush you."

"Get out!" I yelled for the billionth time in five minutes. I heard muffled crickets in my bag. I messily dug my hands through looking for my phone.

"Hello?" I asked not paying attention to who this was. "What are doing today?" Gale asked. "At the moment I'm driving to... the store...with Tobias." Damnit I'm a terrible liar. "And what are you getting?" She asked not convinced. "Okay. You caught me." I confessed. "So what are you really doing?"

"Home."

"I thought you already were home."

Look, Gale, I can't talk I'll pick you up later if you want to hang out." I said in a rush. "We can annoy Tobias again if you like."

"Sounds great, love you. Bye!" One thing was official I loved that girl.

"JEREMIAH OLIVER DELAVAN!" My mother screamed. "GET IN THIS CAR NOW!" Coming Donna!" I yelled back using her first name. She wasn't a normal mom. She had bright blue hair and neon makeup. The others didn't care but I did.

The car ride was crowded, which sucked for Carli, every five minutes she complained about being claustrophobic. Luna and Luca, wouldn't stop yelling. Trinity, who was 24 and still living with us, was driving as mom drank and entire bottle of Tequila. "Kid...sstop." She slurred. "Mom." Charlotte said. "Your drunk, stop talking."

"Am...mnot..." she slurred again. "Are too."

"Everyone shut up and stop fighting!" I yelled. I usually settle family arguments. "Carli, we know your claustrophobic, stop. Luna, Luca, stop yelling. Trinity...you're fine never mind. Charlotte and Donna-"

"I'm your mother, not Donna!" She was an angry drunk. "It makes you sound younger." I pointed out. "True, continue." She agreed.

"Okay, Charlotte, Donna, stop fighting. Holly, good job I forgot you were here. And, Steven, I also forgot you were here." After that little outburst, they all shut up, and I was a peaceful car ride. For the next two miles anyway.

Hello! Here is another update with some info on Jeremiah! Yay! Also I should probably put this at the top but I'm too lazy. If a chapter starts with no name its Gale. If it switches from someone else's point of view to Gale's then I'll have her name. My friend informed me that it's confusing to read if there's no *insert persons name POV* I guess I understood perfectly because, well, I wrote it. But I also did that before because I've read a book, a real book that did that and I got confused. But anyway, enough stories, I'll update soon (I hope) goodbye for now!
