You treat me bad, you treat me worse.
You treat me like a thing of no cause.
Just because I choose to stay,
Just because I endured,
All you want is to chase me away. You tell me why to live,
What to eat, where to move to, and when to behave.
Even when I choose to stay amongst you.
I accept your people's people.
Treated them like part of me
The orphans you called BEGGERSPeople you chase away,
People you dare not feed.
People you treat like you treat me.
Just because of poverty
Just because of the connection
Or whatever you call it, was an opportunity. Now you deny me.
You harass them.
Your people's people now feed under me.
Like a branch-less tree
You break and crack. And your people's people are added to another flourishing tree.
What holds the living,
Isn't a connection.
But love and consideration.
What kills the living,
Isn't wealth and opportunity?
But love and consideration.
Before asking questions,
Or pointing fingers
Or taking sides.
Make humanity your religion.
Make everyone, your person.
