SERIES TWO: Devil's Disguise (✓)

Chapter 1

Zephyr Ellixianna Davis

"I'm Zephyr Ellixianna Davis, and this is my story. I was just 13 years old when my father died because of sickness. I lived with my uncle and his family in New York, but soon after, we flew back to Philippines to continue my study here." I was looking at the screen of my TV when I heard a footsteps outside my door. I grabbed the remote contol and turn off the TV.

Saktong pagkapatay nito ay siyang pagbukas ng pinto. I didn't bother to look at him when he entered my room.

"You're watching it again?" 'Di ko ito sinagot. I stayed my eyes on the black screen. Naramdaman ko ang paglapit nito. I was on the edge of my bed and he sat beside me.

"You make great stories Phyr, it's just the fact that it's tragic." He said. I still didn't respond. "You kno what, you don't have to fear something, Phyr. It's been a years and you're safe now."

"What if I'm not?" I said coldly. Wala itong naisagot sa tanong ko. I sighed and got up.

Papalabas na ako ng kwarto nang may sinabi pa ito.

"Make your first day great, Phyr." pagkatapos niyang sabihin 'yon ay lumabas na ako. Naabutan ko si Uncle sa couch ng makababa ako. Auntie's not around and I didn't bother to look for her.

"Oh, Phyr, you're not going with your brother?" Uncle asked. I shooked my head.

"He's is still on his bed." I answered. Though it's not true. Hak is an early bird. And Uncle's not aware of it, dahil sa masyado silang busy sa work ni Auntie, mismong anak nila 'di nila napagtutuonan ng pansin.

"Gotta go Uncle." paalam ko dito. Tumango lang ito. I grabbed my motor key at lumabas na ng bahay.

It's been 3 years simula ng bumalik kami ng Pilipinas. I'm on my 4th Year of Junior High School.

And maybe if I can buy happiness, then I will waste billiones just to have it. Then just when I thought I found it, I never realized that all along, sadness is my shadow.
