Chapter 50

Let the party begin

Zephyr's POV

I'm just looking outside the big yard of the mansion. How dark, both the sky and this view. Drinking wine while waiting for the time.

What a beautiful night. Narinig ko ang pagkatok sa pinto ng kwarto ko. Hindi nakasara ang sliding door sa veranda kaya rinig ko ito.

"It's time, milady." I heard Vexen sa labas ng kwarto ko. Didn't dare to open the door.

A smirked came out of my lips.

I looked at the small watch that I'm holding. 11:30pm. 30 minutes more and it's their anniversary. How about a wedding anniversary will also be the death anniversary. Sounds interesting.

Naglakad ako palapit sa pinto at binuksan ito. Vexen bowed her head na 'di ko naman nilingon.

"You got rid of it all?" I asked.

"Without a single mistake, milady." Magalang na sagot niya. Hindi na 'ko nagsalita at bumaba na sa grand staircase ng mansyon.

Pierre is already on the sofa of the living room. Nakatulala lang siya at mukhang hindi pa 'ko napapansin.

I know he's still clueless of what's going on. But he didn't dare ti ask me what am I doing. Or am I really doing something. What's with the beach thing. Pero hindi na niya kailangan malaman sa ngayo 'yon. I will make him see it. I want them to look innocent as they already is. Kahit na wala ng nakakakita sa mga nangyayari sa mansyon na 'to. As Vexen already got rid of it.

That bastard Hidden, the former leader of conqueror–or rather, the black sheep of the conqueror. He's a spy of that Don Avello. I'm not really using the conqueror when Sham's still alive. That's why I become blind of everything. But things changed. 

Napatingin siya sa gawi ko nang marinig ang yapak ko. Agad siyang tumayo at sinalubong ako ng peke niyang ngiti.

"Phyr." Banggit nito sa pangalan ko. "Camilla's already in the car." Dugtong niya.

'Di ako sumagot at nilagpasan lang siya. I'm riding a different car from them. Nasa iisang sasakyan lang sila ni Cam.

Dalawang oras ang tinagal ng byahe dahil sa malayo ang pribadong lugar na 'yon. Nakatulog ako sa byahe at nagising lang nang maramdaman ang pagtigil ng sasakyan.

Dahan-dahan kong minulat ang aking mata. Vexen is standing infront of my window side habang may kausap ito. I looked at the outside of the car.

Madilim na karagatan sa malayo. Ilang mga ilaw na nagbibugay liwanag sa paligid. Ang buwan na siyang agaw atensyon sa kalangitan. At ang malaking yateng nasa pangpang.

Nabalik ako sa ulirat nang kumatok si Vexen sa bintana ng sasakyan.

"They're there, miss." She said saka binuksan ang pinto. I got off the car kasabay ng pagdating ng sasakyan nila Pierre.

Naglakad na 'ko papasok sa malaking yate at sumunod naman ang mga kasama ko. Sumalubong sa'kin si Mush, Hancell, and Hades. Also a conqueror members.

Tumango lang ako sa kanila saka pumasok sa kwarto ko rito sa yate.

Naligo at nagbihis ako pagkatapos. We're on our way to the private island of the Devis.

Ilang minuto bago tumigil ang yate kaya lumabas na 'ko. I'm wearing an white dress, showing off my back and it has a slit on my right thigh.

Pierre welcomed me and I clung my arms on his. A big celebration will be held for the anniversary of the chairman and his wife. My so called grandparents. And all the people who has connection to the family will also be there.

Pagpasok pa lang sa mansyon ay marami na ring mga tao ang naroon. Sa likod na gate kami dumaan kaya wala masiyadong nakapansin sa presensya namin. Vexen is also with me and Pierre.

"We're honored to have your presence here milady. Allow me to accompany you inside as the chairman is also waiting for you in his room." Bungad sa'min ng isang babaeng naka itim na dress.

She looked at Pierre ng akmang susunod ito sa'min. Inalis ko ang kamay ko sa braso niya at sumunod sa babae.

Sumakay kami ng elevator papunta sa second floor ng bahay. This is the only way maliban sa malaking hagdan na nasa living room. And it's crowded there.

Nang makalabas sa elevator ay naglakad kami ng konti sa hallway nito. Nakasabit sa ding ding ang mga portrait na hindi naman pamilyar sa'kin. But the surname that plastered just below the picture proves that they're all Devi.

We stopped sa harap ng pinto sa pinakadulo ng hallway. Wala rin namang ibang pinto maliban dito.

"Please, milady." The girl said at binuksan ang pinto. Pumasok ako saka niya ito sinarado.

Malaking kwarto. The whole second floor is the master's bedroom. But the glamorous room didn't really caught my attention. But the man standing just infront of the big portait. My portrait.

"So beautiful, right?" He said and turned his cold gaze on me. I didn't respond.

"Your mother is fool for running away and thinking that I can't find you." He walks towards the coffee table and grab the wine on it.

"And your father, well, the result of his experiment is not that disappointing. You're fragile, unlike the Devi. You're just like you're great grandfather." He said saka lumapit sa'kin at binigay ang isa pang baso ng wine.

"He's weak, but his eyes proves that he's a Devi. Just like yours. They are terrifying. You can't blame me sa pagpatay sa kapatid mo–"

"She's not my sister." He smirked.

"Of course. You're a Devi. My Devi." He said and cupped my cheek. He looks intently on my eyes na hindi ko naman iniwasan.

"You're scarying her honey." Pareho kaming nabaling ang tingin sa babaeng bagong dating. Sa tingin ko ay sa walk'in closet ito galing. She's wearing a red long dress. Halata rin na may edad na ito.

"The time is already up. We can't afford the guests to wait this long." Striktang sabi nito. Nilapitan siya ng lalaki at iginaya na palabas.

"Follow us, dear." The lady said. Sumunod ako gaya ng sinabi nito. Hanggang sa makarating kami sa malaking hagdaan. Sa baba nito ay ang dagat ng mga tao.

The melody stop as the eyes of the crowd is on us.

"Noble greetings, ladies and gentlemen. I'm well honored for accepting our invitation. But aside from celebrating our anniversary, we would like to introduce to you our granddaughter." Sabi ng babae. Nabaling ang tingin sa'kin ng mga tao.

"Zephyr Ellixiana Devi." Pumalakpak ang mga tao. Ilang minuto ang lumipas pagkatapos non. At ilang minuto na rin akong nakaharap sa mga tao. Greetings here and there.

I can't even see the Devis anymore. Nag-uusap lang ang mga taong nasa table na inuupuan ko nang lumapit sa'kin si Vexen.

"All set, milady." Mahinang sabi nito.

I smirked. "Now, let's the real party begin."
