Last day of camp part 2

As soon as the Jumphawk helicopter dropped the three jaeger suits down Ben stepped out of Striker eureka and fell to the ground and medical staff rushed over to him. The paramedics rushed him over to the makeshift medical bay to stitch up his injuries. Brooklynn and the others watched from a distance as the paramedics wrapped bandages over the stitches. "How do you feel?" Herc asked his son.

"Other then being in pain? fine." Ben said and Herc shed a tear. "Quit crying old man." Ben said to his father using Chuck's old saying.

"Ben it's bad enough that Chuck calls me that, I don't need you calling me that either." Herc said sternly.

"I was just joking dad." Ben said halfheartedly. Brooklynn glanced over at the wounded fourteen year old with a sympathetic look on her face after Darius told them about what happened.

She then looked over at the pilot of Coyote tango which was talking with marshal Rask. The pilot then saluted the marshal of the shatterdome and walked past Brooklynn when she finally said. "Do you know anyone by the last name of "Glantin"?"

Jake froze in place and turned around to look at her. "Why are you asking me that?" Jake asked.

"Because my mother talked about dating someone with the same name as you." Brooklynn said and Jake looked at her puzzled.

"I don't understand the question." Jake said finally after thinking for a long minute.

"Does the name Sheryl Glantin ring a bell?" Brooklynn asked sarcastically and Jake's expression hardened and turned sour almost instantly.

"Oh her." Jake said simply as he put on Coyote tango's helmet to hide his face.

"What's wrong with her?" Brooklynn asked clearly interested on why the mark I pilot had a strong dislike for her mother.

"It's nothing." Jake said dismissively. Brooklynn glared at him suspiciously.

"I know your lying." Brooklynn said and Jake let out a sigh in defeat.

"We went to high school together, and well we were dating but soon we broke up and well she just vanished soon after." Jake said and Brooklynn realized something.

"How old was my mother when she was dating you?" Brooklynn asked.

"I was sixteen and she was the exact same age as me." Jake said in reply.

"I'm fifteen my mom is your age." Brooklynn said and Jake facepalmed.

"Let me guess she had you when she was in high school?" Jake said and Brooklynn nodded.

"She also said that you..." Brooklynn trailed off and Jake facepalmed.

"I did not do that." Jake said. Brooklynn looked him in the eye and could tell he wasn't lying even if his face was covered by Coyote tango's helmet.

"Alright I believe you." Brooklynn said finally and walked away while Jake looked out at the sunset alone.

Sammy looked at the mark I as she remembered when Coyote tango had saved her from Onibaba in Tokyo in 2011. The evening sun reflected off of Coyote's dark grey armour and giving the illusion that the mark I was gold in colour.

She also noticed some news reporters interviewing people and Sammy just let out a sigh. "So what do we do now?" She asked her fellow campers.

"We could go back to living our normal lives?" Kenji said. "I know my dad is currently on a business trip but I could stay with my stepmother." 

"I could go live with my family. I'm pretty sure my mother is worried sick about me." Yasmina said. 

"That just leaves one of us with being unable to go home." Sammy said looking over at Ben who was sitting next to his father. 

"His home is probably in Sydney shatterdome." Brooklynn said harshly as then a man wearing a camo green jaeger suit dive suit walked past her. 

"Chuck." Ben said to the man as he walked up and hugged Ben. 

"Are you alright?" Chuck asked his younger brother and Ben just nodded. "And you old man?" Chuck asked his father and Herc just nodded silently confirming that he was. 

The other campers noticed the eleven cartoonish looking hybrid heads on the right side of Chuck's chestplate. "Is that how many kills he has?" Darius quietly asked Kenji who just shrugged in reply. 

The pilot of Stormer eureka then looked over as Aztec headhunter, Diablo intercept, and Matador fury were airlifted by a jump hawk helicopter to be returned to the Lima shatterdome. "I think we're next." Chuck said to his brother and father as they yet again suited up in their jaeger suits. 

Ben waved in goodbye to his fellow campers as the cables were attached to Striker Eureka's shoulders and the mark V was lifted into the air along with Vulcan specter, Lucky seven, and Stormer eureka. 

When the four jaeger suits were returned to the Sydney shatterdome Ben noticed that the Japanese mark IV, Echo saber stood in a hanger bay. "That's new." Ben said. 

"Yeah Echo was relocated here from Tokyo shortly after Striker, Vulcan, and Lucky were taken to Nublar. It's also staying here." Chuck said. 

"Wow." Ben answered. However that's when the alarms of a hybrid attack sounded. 

"Another one? Seriously?" Ben asked as Striker and Vulcan were airlifted from their hanger bays to engage the hybrid.
