Ben vs Brooklynn

Ben dodged Brooklynn's claw swipe again as he leapt at her fists clenched. He swung his fist hard and it connected with her rib and she grunted in pain. Ben made sure to watch out for her teeth as much as her claws.

But he knew that she wouldn't be that aggressive that she wouldn't actually bite him, but he didn't want to take any chances. However he felt something sweep his legs out from under him and he looked over to see Brooklynn's tail.

Ben noticed a long but sturdy stick nearby and he grabbed it and held it like a staff. He smacked Brooklynn's hand with his makeshift staff and he proceeded to kick her hard in the jaw with his foot.

Brooklynn stumbled backwards and ben swept her legs out from under her and Brooklynn fell into the dirt with a thud. Ben planted his foot down on Brooklynn's chest to stop her from moving as he pointed the stick at her head.

"Do you yield?" He asked seriously looking Brooklynn in the eye and he noticed the fear in her eyes.

"Fine." Brooklynn growled. "I yield."

Her dinosaur features then proceeded to disappear and Ben stepped off her however as he started to walk away Brooklynn leapt at him however Ben jabbed her with the back end of his makeshift Hanbo staff.

Brooklynn grunted in pain and fell back down onto the ground as Ben tossed the makeshift staff away into the bushes and returned to his seat. "Remind me to never challenge him to a fight." Darius whispered to Kenji.

"How did you know my moves before I did them?" Brooklynn asked shocked Ben was going to say "Because of our past" but instead answered with.

"You rushed me with no strategy, much like all the hybrids did during the war aside from Knifehead." Ben said simply.

Brooklynn then walked off and sat down near a tree bringing her knees close to her face, pouting. Ben thought she looked kind of adorable in the way she was sitting. "Well Ben I think it's time we head back to the Anchorage shatterdome before marshal Pentecost yells at us." Kenji said getting up.

"Yeah just give me a second." Ben said as he walked over to Brooklynn.

"What do you want?" Brooklynn asked harshly.

"To apologize for kicking your ass." Ben said as kindly as he could while using the word "ass" in his sentence.

Brooklynn looked over at him suspiciously with her eyes, she looked like she was trying to see if he was lying. Ben just silently got up and walked off back towards to Kenji and the two left to signal for a helicopter.

Brooklynn hated her self for lashing out at Ben with her claws, but she felt even worse that she just wanted to lean over and kiss him when he had sat down next to her just a few minutes ago.

"Why so I have feelings for him?" She asked herself quietly as it began to rain.

She thought of all logical answers to why she had developed a crush on the son of one of the greatest Jaeger suit pilots in existence.

Ben wasn't muscular but he was intelligent, he even knew her attacks before she even attacked him with them during their fight.

She just wanted to scream at that moment as the storm started to pick up and she felt the rain drops pelt her despite the fact that she was under a tree.

However they suddenly stopped and she looked up to see Ben standing in front of her silently holding an umbrella. "You just going to sit there?" Ben asked.

Brooklynn then stood up and followed him for a few minutes to a helicopter with the logo of the PPDC on it and Ben motioned for her to climb into it as he closed his umbrella.

Brooklynn noticed that Ben hadn't said a word since he had arrived back at the tree. The helicopter soon took off and flew off to the Anchorage shatterdome.

However when the helicopter basically landed and Ben stepped out of the helicopter the hybrid attack sirens sounded. "Another one?" Brooklynn asked.

"I guess so." Ben said.

"Striker eureka prepare for deployment." Tendo Choi said over the loudspeaker with a pop as he signed off.

"Guess Striker's needed." Ben said however right as he turned away Brooklynn grabbed his arm. However as he turned around Brooklynn suddenly kissed him on the lips.

"Now go save the world." She said and Ben walked off towards the suit up area, his lips tingling from the sudden kiss.

He couldn't get his mind around what had just happened even after he was suited up in Striker eureka. "Where am I being deployed?" Ben asked Tendo over the comm channel after the drift was initiated.

"Long beach, California." Tendo said.

"Why there?" Ben asked.

"Our first ever category IV. Codename: Bloodseather." Tendo answered.

"Don't tell me I'm going in solo." Ben said.

"Negative, Atlas destroyer and Titan redeemer will be accompanying you on the deployment." Tendo said in reply and Ben breathed a sigh of relief.

Now before you say Ben and Brooklynn's relationship is rushed, I forgot to include Brooklynn deploying a crush on him earlier. So Yeah.
