Dino Jurassic squad: Redemption (discontinued)

Long beach engagement

Striker eureka was dropped into the beach alongside Titan redeemer and shortly after Atlas destroyer. The heavily built mark V-E proceeded to walk towards the ocean with Atlas following shortly behind. "Hey, Striker you coming?" Hayley Travis asked him.

"Huh? Yeah I'm coming." Ben said having been snapped out of his thoughts and he proceeded to follow Atlas into the ocean water until it was up to his knees in depth.

"Keep on your toes, this category IV can be a crafty bastard. Probably more so then Knifehead." Emily deacon, the pilot of Titan redeemer said to her teammates.

"Right." Ben said however he lingered over the memory of Brooklynn kissing him and almost chased the RABI or Random Access Brain Impulses only to be snapped out of it by Hayley smacking him over the back of his conn pod helmet.

"You good?" Hayley asked.

"Yeah I'm fine." Ben lied however that's when he noticed the back of something reptilian appear briefly before disappearing under the waves a few meters in front of him.

Ben flicked out his sting blades as Bloodseather burst out from under the water, roaring.

The hybrid had a short almost Carnotaurus like face with no horns, it had bulky and muscular human like arms with Utahraptor like legs but no toe claws, it's tail ended in a clubbed mace similar to an Ankylosaurus or Euplocephalus.

Ben swung his blades at the category IV cutting it along the chest however it would slash him hard with it's claws, which raked across Striker eureka's armour plating on his arms.

Atlas destroyer charged in to the battle firing it's energy casters at the category IV however was sent flying backwards when the hybrid slammed it's tail into Atlas' face.

The mark III got back up onto it's feet and shook it's head with a large crack on it's red visor. Titan redeemer charged towards Bloodseather and swung it's M-19 morning star at the category IV.

Bloodseather skidded backwards from the blow as it got hit in the chest. However the category IV charged towards Striker eureka but was slashed on the face by the mark V's sting blades.

Ben grunted in pain as he felt Bloodseather claw and scratch at his armour plating and he reacted by slashing Bloodseather on the shoulder and kicking it hard in the place it's groin would be.

The category IV stumbled backwards in pain and snarled at the mark V in rage and proceeded to charge towards it as fast as it possibly go while half submerged.

Ben was sent flying after being caught in a bone crushing hug by the hybrid and then tossed aside by it. Ben landed on the beach and he drug his hands into the sand to stop himself from continuing to fly backwards but he still skidded backwards a few more inches.

Bloodseather charged towards him as fast as it could and it roared as it did so. However Ben activated Striker eureka's K-stunner missile launcher and fired it at the hybrid.

The missiles pelted it's hide and the sixth missile killed the category IV, hitting it straight in the head and killing it in an instant.

Ben breathed a sigh of relief however then activated his pulse gauntlet. He aimed it at the hybrid's corpse and then fired on it three times just to make sure it was dead. "What was that for?" Hayley asked.

"Making sure it's dead." Ben said simply and he then deactivated the pulse gauntlet and he took a knee. He was in pain, his arms hurt, his back hurt, and he couldn't focus because of the memory of Brooklynn constantly appearing in his mind.

He was about to fall over when Emily deacon caught him using Titan redeemer's right arm. Emily called his name however Ben blacked out.

However when he woke up a few hours later he was in the medical bay of the Anchorage shatterdome. "Ow. My head." Ben said wincing in pain as he sat up.

Ben looked around his room and noticed Brooklynn sitting in a chair, looking at the floor. "Oh, hey." Brooklynn said softly as she looked up at him.

"You alright?" He asked her noticing that she had crying recently.

"No, Stacker told me after watching the drift recording that me kissing you was the result of you barely being able to fight properly." Brooklynn answered.

"It's fine. It's just that I couldn't get it out of my mind." Ben said trying to make her feel better.

"Yeah but it's my fault, I should've saved it until you came back." Brooklynn said.

Ben let out a sigh as he then stood up and noticed he was still in his dive suit. "Look it doesn't matter if you should've kissed me or not, let's just focus on the future."

Brooklynn just nodded silently as she got up as well.
