oops again, but I like this chapter >:)

The sun creeped in through the windows as Miko and Haruhi were splayed out on the floor. Their skin was drenched in sweat and the heat was unbearable. "Its...so... hot." Miko groaned as she took her glasses off her face, brining her shirt up to wipe the sweat off the middle.

"You don't have to stay, ya know." Haruhi muttered bringing a hand up to fan her face. "If the heat is too much we can always hang out some other time."

As tempting as it would be to just go home to her icebox of a house, Miko wanted to spend today with her friend. If her parents were out of town she would simply invite Fujioka over so she could bask in the cool with her. However, with them still being home, she had no desire to put her friend through her parent's criticism so soon into their friendship.

"And miss baking like a pancake with my friend?" She smirked. "Boring." The pair broke into a giggle. Suddenly, Miko shot up and turned her head to Haruhi. "What if we went shopping?" Haruhi joined her in sitting up and tilted her head.

"Shopping?" Her eyebrow raised. "Why?"

"Well... we are going to the beach in like two days." Miko rose to her feet and held a hand out to help Haruhi up. "We can swimsuit shop! Stores more than likely will be air conditioned, and its something to do other than being baked in this oven!"

"I guess that makes sense." Haruhi accepted the help up and walked over to her closet to grab her purse. "I'll have to see if I can afford a new suit, but if anything I can pay for snacks." Miko went over to the door where her bag was laying and put it over her shoulder. She also took a second to redo her headband, pushing her bangs out from her face.

"Sure you can pay for snacks." Miko nodded. "If you let me buy you a new swimsuit and beach outfit."

Haruhi looked hesitant, but as her gaze met Miko's she knew better than to try to argue with her. At this point Haruhi knew better than to argue fruitlessly with the rich people close to her. "Deal."

With that the girls headed out. The walk to the station was filled with friendly banter. Miko got to talk about her new hobby that she decided to continue after making a bear for her sister. When Haruhi asked to see some of her work, Miko promised to make the girl her own stuffed animal.

"I can't promise it will be very good." Miko confessed as she followed Haruhi onto the train. The girls had decided to go to a mall, it was the easiest way to get all they needed.

Miko was excited to be going out again. She had gotten so busy with school, she's forgotten what I was like to have a normal social life. One out of high society. The hosts, Haruhi especially, have been great for reintroducing her to fun. When her parents had tried to convince Miko not to go with the group to the beach for the weekend, Kyoya explained they would be staying at his family home. There he promised a room for Miko to study. Of course he knew she more than likely wouldn't be studying, it was enough to get her parents off her back and she was grateful for that.

"But it will be made from the heart." Haruhi shrugged.

Miko smiled. "My sister said the same thing."  She put a finger up to her chin in thought. "It would be cool if you could meet her soon."

"She's why you took a picture of my dad and I right?" Haruhi questioned, adjusting in the train seat. She was hoping that this didn't cross any boundaries.

"Oh I completely forgot I said I was going to tell you." She nodded. "Sana has a condition that prevents her from going outside. So... I take pictures of the outside to show her for when she turns 18." Miko saw Haruhi raise an eyebrow. "The condition is treatable, but she's too young for her to go through it. We have had the plan to start treatment when she turns 18 and then she'll... hopefully be able to see the subject of the pictures I take with her own eyes."
