"Well, it's just that you both are so similar." She spoke, sipping at her glass once again.

In response he scoffed.

"Similar? We're nothing alike." Taehyung stated, as Jennie only shrugged.

"Not based on what I just saw." She commented, looking straight at him.

"Oh yeah? And what did you see?" He asked, drawing closer as he came to lean against the railing beside her, pulling out a pack of cigarettes from his pockets.

"Well, when I approached her, the first conclusion you both drew was that it was because you dated. It's funny, because that's how I found out. If anything, her father was looking to invest in a company to develop a new product, and I just nudged her in our direction." She spoke, letting out a tsk as she saw the pack.

"Either way, now that I know that, I don't have to worry about Clyde trying to take that contract. Especially with Triste choosing you, and between us and the Asher corp, I think we both know who's getting that deal." She spoke, as Taehyung hummed in response.

"Your little PR stunt definitely didn't go unnoticed." Taehyung commented as he took one of the cigarettes out.

"Well what can I say. One way or another, right?" Jennie laughed, as Taehyung only found himself smiling.

None of them could've ever predicted that they would be here joking around, amongst their biggest rival.

And neither of them wished for it to stop, and that's what they hoped would happen every time they met.

Instead, the two tried to excuse their behaviour with the all too familiar scapegoat, alcohol.

"Are you not going to make a donation?" He asked, as Jennie finished her glass of whiskey, pulling her hands to her body instead.

"We made one already. You?" She asked, looking forward as he noticed her cold.

"Us too."

Typically, he would've been expected to offer his jacket to her, as the polite thing to do.

He got the courtesy of wearing a full sleeved shirt with full
Length trousers and relatively comfortable shoes, while the women there were stuck in dresses not made for cold weather, and heels that were tall enough to add 3 inches to their height.

However, they had to remember that they were rivals.

There's a line to how far friendly can go.

"Are you attending Jimin's wedding?" She asked out if the blue, as Taehyung rose an eyebrow at the topic.

"I don't think the best man can skip out..." he trailed off, unsure where this was going.

"Neither can the maid of honour right? That's certainly going to be an interesting story for the press." She laughed as he widened his eyes.

"You're the maid of honour? How do you and Rosé even know each other?" He asked, as she smiled.

"We went to school in Australia together. And then I came to SNU for college, while she went to Yonsei." Jennie explained, as he was at a loss for words.

She put her glass away, on the ground beside the railing.

"I can't believe Jimin didn't tell me. This is going to be a field day for the press." He sighed, running a hand through his hair, removing it of the perfectly placed style.

"Well, I doubt he knows." She commented in response.

"Huh? Why wouldn't he know? He's the groom?" Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows.
