"Taehyung. Here's what you asked for." Jimin burst in through the said man's office doors, as Taehyung looked away from the person across from him for a moment.
"Jimin." Taehyung acknowledged, slightly panicked as he could've probably lost them the deal.
Jimin quickly looked around took a sharp intake of air, pausing where he was before stepping back with a nervous smile.
"This can wait. Sorry again!" He hollered before shutting the door, as Taehyung shook his head at the guy.
"Sorry. You were saying?" He turned back to the woman in front of him, who seemed to be in her early 50's or so.
"I was saying, I'll offer you the contract to develop our facial identification technology for the cosmetic app, however, being one of the top makeup brands also means our contracts are highly sought after." She mentioned as the file with the 'Hera' logo sat atop the coffee table.
Taehyung, placing his tea down, only humourlessly smiled before looking up.
"We're offering you security, a steady timeline and quality. What else could you want, Ms.Hanes?" He asked, half rhetorically and half seriously.
Truth be told, all he needed was to secure this contract for now, or another of this scale to keep the revenue up until the take over, so he could get time to put proper research in.
"Assurance. Guarantee. And well, this is a 6 month long contract, but the impact will be substantially longer. So I need to know that you will be making the product beneficial for that while." She answered, her face not faltering once as he only gave a questioning look in response.
"And how do you propose we do that?" He asked, already not appreciating the direction this was taking.
"Well there's two ways we can go about this. One, Marriage. You marry my eldest, the press coverage and social influence will cover enough guarantee for us. Or number 2, shares." She explained as Taehyung inwardly cringed at every word she spoke.
Although it made perfect sense, it made no sense at the same time.
However, this contract was as they mentioned a major one.
His father would get off his back, the media would dwell and up their social standings both ways, be it a marriage or a possible collaboration in general, and they would have a standing supporter in case the company fell, a huge one at that.
He took a minute to process his thoughts before he sat up straighter.
"You're Right, guarantee is a priority for your company." He smiled as she did in response as well, before frowning as he stood up.
"However your terms can't be fulfilled by us, or any smart company for that matter, as it's an unfulfilling guarantee that exceeds the time of the contract, and your brand relies heavily on your model choices, which would indirectly affect our future contracts." He explained before putting the other contract atop the duplicate, and walking over to his desk to sign off the meeting.
"So we could either collaborate on this contract the normal way, or we just, don't sign. Our brand doesn't only rely on this after all. However yours.... Well let's just say good luck finding another company to fulfil the same terms on the same prices." Taehyung ended before turning around with a smile.
"I'll leave you to think about it. Your team can contact my legal one depending on your choice. Goodbye." He said, indirectly saying there would be no personal relations or requirements for meetings between the two as she got up as well, taking the two folders and leaving with a sigh, her secretary scrambling to meet her at the door.
