"Ame....AME!"

Gura sound woke me up from the nightmare.

The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was the worried face of Gura.

"Are you alright? You sounded like you were dying."

Gura asked.

With fear from the horrific nightmare and dizziness from the morning brain, I couldn't answer Gura's question immediately.

I collected my thoughts, jumped start my brain, and replied when I was ready.

"It's nothing, Gura. I was just having a nightmare, that's all"

I patted her head then smiled to comfort her as I tried to calm myself as well.

"Really?"

Gura asked.

"Yes!...don't you believe me?"

I nodded and patted her head more.

"I do! ...*sob*"

Gura responded as she wiped out her tears.

"That's my good girl"

I smiled then patted her head even more before asking Gura to do me a favor.

"Gura, could you make breakfast for me? I'm soaking in sweat right now so I want to take a bath first."

"Oki! Doki!"

Gura, after shedding off her tear, energetically answered my request before she ran out to the kitchen.

I watched Gura get out of my room and eased myself until I was sure that I was all alone.

"Then it's time for me to go as well."

I spoke to myself before realizing something odd that I held in my hand.

The thing that I held in my hand first thing in the morning after having such a bad dream, was the pocket watch that I picked up from the street yesterday.

"Why are you here?"

I was puzzled by what happened but decided not to think about it because I already have many things in my mind.

I put it on the nightstand as before, then went to a shower before having breakfast that Gura prepared for me, egg bacon and toast with orange juice.

After we finished our breakfast, we headed out to go grocery shopping as we planned.

I brought the pocket watch as well as I planned to take it to the police station.

"What are we gonna buy today, Ame?"

Gura asked happily while walking beside me.

"I got the shopping list here, want to take a look"

I passed my phone to Gura and she took it.

Gura looked at the list from my phone for a while before I realized that she was typing something.

I took a peek without saying anything and saw that she was typing a list of snacks that weren't there before.

"Gura.....!!!"

I called her loudly, then she flinched.

As soon as Gura sensed the danger from me, she ran away.

I ran after her but before I could catch her, she bumped into someone.

"Gura!"

I quickly checked on her. Luckily, she didn't get hurt anywhere.

After I finished checking on Gura, I turned to the person she bumped into and it turned out that person was already run away.

I knew that Gura was the one who bumped into that person but left without any word or apology. That was too much.

I tried to look for that person while picking Gura up, but I saw a strange thing happen instead.

More people were running in our direction and all of them seemed to be scared by something.

I tried to ask them but no one stopped to answer me.

"What is happening, Watson?"

Gura asked me.

"I don't know either, but you don't have to be scared. I am here with you"

I reassured Gura even though I do not know what the hell is going on either.

Gura held me tightly and I held her back.

I didn't know why I didn't decide to run away in the first place, but I instantly regretted it after I knew the cause of the commotion.

In the direction from which people ran away, the shadow monsters were walking in my direction.

I panicked as soon as I saw the same monster which I saw in my nightmare, standing in front of me.

It might be different in some detail but I was sure that it was the same monster from my nightmare. Its color, its aura, everything.

"Gura...."

I called the girl whose hand shaking as she held mine.

"What, Ame?"

Gura replied.

"I think we have to run too."
