After I ran into the shrine, times had passed for a while.

The Ancient One shrine is the architecture that looks like it came out from the fantasy game. Its dark mystery atmosphere was combined with its aesthetic yet ancient structure of it.

if it was not because of this dreadful situation, I would love to take a day tour around this place. Sadly, I had no time for that right now.

As Death-sensei had informed us, the sacred rune sat at the heart of the temple, translated as the main hall.

Calli was the one who informed us about the path in this temple that would lead us to our objective. Moreover, she informed me of the chant that I had to do, to remove the spell in case we got separated.

At that time, I hoped that I wouldn't have to do the chant myself but the situation turned out this way.

Gura and I arrived at the sacred rune at the heart of the temple. At the center of the room, there is a small monolith that is covered by ancient letters.

That is the sacred rune that Calli showed me.

"So this is the rune..."

Gura said that as we entered the room.

"I hope it is."

I said that before walking toward the monolith.

As Calli said, all I have to do is place the pocket watch on top of the monolith and chant the incarnation to activate the removing spell.

I did as I was told to do. I placed the pocket watch at the top of the monolith then chanted the incarnation. If what Calli said was right, something magical would happen and the watch would disappear.

I waited for the magical thingies but nothing happened.

"Why...? Why did nothing happen?"

I tried to chant once more but still, nothing happened.

"What the hell! Did I chant it wrong?"

I looked at the note Calli wrote the chant in English karaoke for me. I was sure I said every word correctly.

"It's because the Ancient One power of this world has not yet awakened."

The same menacing sound I heard for like ten minutes ago, spoke to me from the back of mine.

I turned back and saw the Ancient One, grabbing Gura with its tentacle.

"A...me..."

Gura called me while suffocating in the tentacle confinement.

"Gura!!!"

I tried to rescue her but was too late. The Ancient One turned Gura into marble.

I stopped as I saw my friend transform. I breathed heavily, didn't know what to do, and stood still like a giant rock.

On the other hand, the Ancient One walked toward me and in no time, the Ancient One stood right in front of me.

Why did I have the feeling of Deja Vu?

The menacing dark violet creature stood right in front of me. The shape of a girl with tentacles behind her back which it took, stared at me right in my eyes.

"Finally! "I have found you."

The shadow spoke with its deadly tone.

I widened my eyes, breathed heavily, and sweated a bucket.

The shadow reached its hand toward me as it said.

"Don't be afraid, I will never hurt you. Never!"

All of this was the same as that nightmare of mine.
