Cold. That's the only thing my body could sense.

Everything was cold. I couldn't feel my arms, legs, nose, anything.

I was alive. That much was a relief. My eyes were still shut, but I could hear the muffled voices of people talking around me.

"What is that thing?"

"This is Appa, my flying bison."

"Right. And this is Katara, my flying sister."

"Who is that?"

"Who?"

"That girl, laying in the snow."

"Nara!"

Someone was shaking me, I opened one eye and saw Aang standing above my body. He sighed in relief when he saw i was awake.

"Oh good, you're okay!"

I winced at his loud voice. My ears were ringing, and my body still wasn't completely concious.

"What the hell happened?" Was all I could say at the moment.

The avatar blinked. "No idea, we crashed and now we're in..." He drifted off and looked at two Water Tribe kids, waiting for them to finish his sentence.

"The South Pole." The boy out of the two finished.

"The South Pole!" I exclaimed as I quickly sat up from the snow below me. My hands were numb, I couldn't exactly feel them when I pushed myself up from the ground to stand. I was surrounded by huge walls of ice, it looked like a fence of icicles. I finally got a look at the Water Tribe siblings. It was a boy and girl, around my age. The girl was about two inches shorter than her brother (still taller than I was though) with tan skin and thick dark hair. Their blue clothes looked wonderfully warm and cozy, I could see the white fur sticking out of the collar and sleeves. They both had deep blue eyes that complimented their skin perfectly.

"Do you guys live around here?" Aang asked as he stroked Appa's little beard.

The brother immediately got defensive. "Don't answer that!" He snapped to his sister. "Did you see that bolt of light? He's probably trying to signal the fire navy." He gave the other airbender a nasty look of suspicion.

"Oh yeah," his sister replied, her tone coated with sarcasm, "he's definitely a spy for the fire navy. You can tell by the evil look in his eye." She squeezed his face with her mittens.

"Then what about the girl?" The Water Tribe boy turned to me, the same glare he gave Aang.

His sister bonked his head. "Sorry about him. The paranoid one is my brother Sokka. I'm Katara." She gave an apologetic smile as her brother groaned.

"Hi, I'm Nara. This one here is Aang." I replied as I gave Aang a side hug. He was about to return the gesture before he sneezed, and flew about 10 feet back before slamming into Appa.

The siblings looked puzzled. "Are you an airbender?" The sister we now know as Katara finally asked.

"I am! So is she." Aang replied simply as he pointed at me. I smiled.

The siblings seemed shocked. I wasn't entirely sure why, have they never met an air nomad? I mean, maybe not. We don't often visit the North or South Pole, we've never needed to.

"Giant light beams, air nomads, flying bison, I'm going home to take a nap." Sokka complained before realizing we were stuck on an iceberg in the middle of the water. He groaned and turned to his sister.

"Oh don't even." Katara barked at him. "This is your fault just as much as mine." She crossed her arms at Sokka who looked offended by her statement.

I decided to chime in before the Water Tribe boy opened his mouth again. "We can give you a lift if you need one! Appa here can take you guys home. We should leave soon anyway, Aang."
