Out of Spencer's years of being an FBI agent, he's been in quite a few hospitals. Some for victims, most for the people he loves. He hates that. The amount of hospitals he has been to for his mother, the team, Y/n. Its calamitous.
JJ rode in the ambulance with Y/n, just incase she woke up on the ride there. They had all agreed she needed a female presence, and between JJ and Emily, she was the best out of the two... considering past events.
She didn't end up gaining consciousness in the ambulance, so they took her immediately into surgery for the stab wound on her thigh. The cut on her shoulder was repaired with a few stitches. She had just gotten out of surgery an hour ago but still wasn't awake. The doctors said they didn't have an estimate on when she would wake up, the stress her body took on was too much to know.
Spencer feels as if he's been in the waiting room for days. He's been studying the human brain long enough to know that's just what it's like when you have someone you love in danger. When you're waiting to hear if their condition, your brian obviously doesn't do well distracting you.
"Luke Alvez?" Spencer is brought out of his trance. His head lifts from its once position towards the ground to see Y/n's nurse and doctor.
Luke stands with urgency, "That's me."
The doctor nods, "Y/n is awake," she says to not just Luke but the rest of the team. Spencer let out a breath that he didn't even know he was holding. "She's only aloud one person at a time in the room for right now. She's still healing and we don't quite know how she is going to take everything." The doctor informs. She looks back to Luke, "you are her emergency contact so if you will follow me, I have a few things to fill you in on."
Luke nods with a shortness of breath and follows the doctor down the hallway. Spencer sits there, in the state of mind he had found himself falling into lately. He was relieved, of course, she was awake and that was a big step. But he was also worried, as any person would be at a time like this. 'We don't know how she's going to take everything.' He had seen this a million times before with the victims he encounters. He just really really hopes it's not comparable.

Luke and the nurse walk to a bench in front of Y/n's room. A police officer was placed outside her room for precaution. Though, he had seen unsubs get past cops before, it made him feel no better.
