Raven's P.O.V

"This is the best day of my entire life! #Dreamcometrue!"
"Raven calm down.. your father and I would like to discuss some things with you."

Even though I'm practically bursting at the seams with excitement, I sit down on my bed, impatiently waiting on my parents to give me the run down. "Listen I know you've been wanting to go to public school for awhile now-"

"I get to be a highschooler!!"
"Raven please. Your mother and I know that you are excited about this, but there needs to be some ground rules."

I groan dramatically. Rules?! What do I need rules for? Mom takes over my pre-school lecture, and starts to lecture me on the perils of highschool

"Highschool is not all that fun as your making it out to be pumpkin. It can be a traumatic horrible place. Filled with deceitful people who want to tear you down from-"

"Evelyn please." Dad sets his hand on mom's thigh giving her a reassuring smile. He has always been able to calm mom down when she's on the brink of a panic attack. Which seems to happen often. Mom is an anxious wreck!

"What your mother is trying to say is that its not like it is on TV. Unfortunately your Mom and I didn't have the best experiences in highschool. Which is why you've been homeschooled up until now."

"Buuuut?!" Please dont tell me they are gonna back out now!! They cant say no after they just said yes! How cruel would that be?!

"But," mom pipes in, "But we have decided that you are old enough to see for yourself. And experience... So as we said before we are allowing you to do your senior year of highschool at Tilmont High."

I scream in excitement. It's just as exciting to hear the second time. I can not believe it! I get to be a high schooler. I get to roam the halls, attend classes, SKIP CLASSES, omg I get to do so much.

"If you feel like it's too much and you cant handle it your father and I will immediately pull you and we can continue with homeschooling."

"That wont be happening guys!! I'm gonna go to HIGHSCHOOL. There is no way I'm giving that up!" Then I energetically hug both my parents, thanking them for letting me do this.

I have been gunning with the want to go to highschool for what seems like 4 years. Well because it has been 4 years. Ive been asking and asking since 8th grade! And now my dreams of being an official teenager in highschool had come true!

I'm so fucking happy! There's so much to plan for. Like what am I gonna wear on my first day? Am I gonna make friends? What if there are cliques? Which one should I join?

Omg there is so much to think about! I hurriedly rush my parents out of my room so that I can get ready. Come August I, Raven McAvoy, will be an official senior in highschool. How fucking cool is that?!?

I am such a #bundleofnerves right now! Today is the first day of school and Im all over the place! For my first day mom and dad are gonna drop me off, even though I said I was fine with walking. I'm gonna be walking to school anyways, but I guess my parents need this so it's not a big deal.

I look over my outfit for what seems to be the gazillionith time! I dont know why I keep doing it. I look great. I looked like a scene girl from the 2000s just without the weird hair. I never got behind the hair part of scene.

But everything else is SO my vibe. My first day outfit consists of my tried and true  leggings (pink of course!) and mini skirt (jean skirt. Classic) combo. Paired with a classic 2000s jean corset vest shirt thing. With a whole bunch of bright and colorful patches all over it.
