The night falls away and Lisa finished speaking in a hushed voice.

Phronesis looked unfazed, so unlike the twins who were staring at one another.

"From a flower..."

"A pair of twins..."

Lisa felt the air escape her lungs. Sylvester. Aquarius. Romulus. Julius. Sirius. A lick of her cracked lips.

As she had spoken, her brain replayed the brutality of it all. Sylvester meeting Aquarius; saving her and growing up together; her birth; Romulus's declaration of annihilation of mages; Aquarius leaving...

When it came to Daisy's execution and the torturing segment Lisa broke into shivers. No color on her face. Every liquid item inside their backpacks exploded. Outside they could hear the thrashing of waves against the ground.

"We don't have to-------" Kameko started, Emiyo shook her head, although her balled up fists forced her nails to dig into the skin.

"Numbing the pain for such a long time will make it worse when it comes back full force. This is the sad consequence."

Kameko looked into Emiyo's eyes. The pink glistened with fresh tears. And Kameko saw Ezekiel. Holding a bowl of soup.

Go away...You're dead...Kameko mouthed silently. You're free like a bird. Idiot.

"It becomes easier, like extracting poison. Go on Lisa-chan."

And the poison began to leave her body. Turning back into a child; found by Daisuke Oozora; Sylvester's grief and Aquarius's soul being crushed by the cruelty of society allowing children to be killed for existing; Sylvester joining the dark side in order to bring her back; discovering his daughter was alive after over a decade...

"I watched her stab him in the chest." Lisa said and forced her trembling left hand down. "Then I saw him die. My name wasn't meant to be Lisa...it was Carol."

Kameko tried to picture her with the name Carol. An aristocrat who would spend her time learning to manifest her powers, possibly an elder sister. Possibly attending a school for magically gifted children with other unknown mages. Unaware of the existence of Emiyo, Kameko, Daisuke, and Megumi. No Precure. No being friends.

That type of world didn't feel right although she refused to say this aloud in front of Lisa. It felt wrong to say she preferred this version instead of the other one.

Lisa sat down on her bed, rummaging around for something. Robotic movements until she pulled out her red purse.

Opening it up, she took a few small roun-----

Emiyo slapped them away.

"Those do you no good." she said, watching them bounce and fall to the stone floor. Lisa still holding onto her red purse. Wide-eyed.

"We need every ounce of strength for the days ahead. Only a few hours left till dawn I believe, that good for you Phronesis or do you want to wait until morning?"

Spotlight now on them, Phronesis waved their sceptor awkwardly. They had been treated as a bystander during the whole spectacle that it took them by surprise when the Precure suddenly diverted their attention to them. Seeking for an important opinion that could either help or hurt them.

Determined to show their knowledge and supremacy of magic, Phronesis thought for a moment before speaking, "I suggest Emiyo and I go right now while it's still dark. Based on our location, it'll take some time to reach the palace. The sooner we get there the better."

Emiyo nodded, folding her arms. "Makes sense to me." She eyed Kameko and Lisa wearily. "Please sleep if you need to."

A few minutes of preparation and reassurance, Emiyo and Phronesis were all set to go. Orange backpack on her shoulders, she called out. "Stay safe."
