He was frustrated, but I couldn't tell why.

"Dean, what's the matter?" I asked him.

"You!" he said loudly.

"No, I didn't mean- oh man," he rambled, running his hands through his hair.

He turned away from me, took a few deep breaths, then faced me again.

"There's something I- I want you to know. I just- I can't... find the right words," his hands waved around in the air as if that would help him find the words he was searching for.

I just stared at him, waiting patiently. He growled in reluctant defeat. He looked at me with what I believed to be a soft expression. He stepped towards me and reached for my hand. I let him guide my right hand to the left side of his chest; over his heart.

"Can you feel it?" he asked.

I nodded.

And I could. He heart was beating, rapidly, beneath my palm.

"I don't have the words to describe it, but when I'm with you..." he trailed off and just looked at me.

I stepped closer, closing the final space between us, and stroked his cheek with my left hand.

"I know," I said, "I feel it too."

He stood there, quivering slightly, and just looking into my eyes.

"This is when you kiss me," I said with a smirk.

He just chuckled and leaned closer. He pressed his lips to mine, hesitantly at first. When he realized I wasn't going anywhere, he kissed me a bit harder.

"Get a room!" Sam called as he paused in the doorway.

Dean grunted and waved a hand in Sam's direction, not removing his lips from mine.

Probably a brotherly insult that got lost between our mouths.

"Jerk," Sam teased.

He left, chuckling to himself. Dean wrapped his arm tightly around my lower back, supporting my by then wobbly knees. I didn't dare open my closed eyes, fearing it would only be another dream... but it was too real; too perfect.
