Third Person's POV

Lizzie tapped her glass cup of water as she waited for Hailee to meet her in this cute cozy cafe. Earlier today, Hailee had texted her to meet her at this location to hang out.

It's been a long day for Lizzie. Two exams, one for english and another in calculus. So when her friend who she hasn't seen in awhile texted to meet up, she was going to take the offer to relax and catch up.

Problem is, the girl was 10 minutes late, which is unusual for the girl. Lizzie looked around in search for the familiar tall brunette but had no luck. However, someone familiar that wasn't Hailee caught her eye in a booth a few feet away from her.

Lizzie squints and was sure she was right on who it was, "Scarlett?"

The blonde's head whipped to look in her direction, "Lizzie?"

Scarlett Johansson. Scarlett was a girl that went to the same college as her, NYU, and they were friends, or well more like classmates I guess? They talked here and there during their English class, and ran into each other since they have friends in their friend groups who bond with each other, inevitably making the two interact with each other.

Lizzie has had a crush on her classmate for awhile now. She realized when she found herself staring at the blonde instead of Mrs. Robinson's lectures. The way Scarlett would play with her pencil and twirl it around with such skill. Or the way Scarlett would run her fingers through her hair whenever a strand of blond would fall and obscure her vision.

Or maybe it was the way that Scarlett would glance her direction here and there and shoot her that charming smile of hers.

Yeah, Lizzie definitely had a crush on Scarlett.

"What are you doing here?" Lizzie questioned getting up to sit in the same booth as the girl.

"I'm meeting up with a friend. Well I was supposed to. She's like 10 minutes late" Scarlett rolled her eyes.

"Oh, me too" Lizzie said surprised at the coincidence.

"You could keep me company and I'll keep you company until our friends come" Scarlett offered flashing that smile that Lizzie has grown to love.

Lizzie nodded a bit too excitedly but tried to act not as excited afterwards and cleared her throat, "Mhm, yeah sure"

Lizzie straightened up a bit and forced herself to make eye contact with the girl, even if it was difficult, "So what did you think of that English exam?"

Scarlett sighed immediately, "It was not easy. But it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I kind of rushed the last free response if I'm being honest, so I'm hoping for a low A" Scarlett shrugged.

"Yeah, I felt the same. Not gonna lie I struggled on the first part, but I got it in the end, so I had to rush on a good half of that exam" Lizzie admitted.

"I bet you did the best you could. You've always impressed me with your knowledge in this class" Scarlett confessed.

"Really?" Lizzie said surprised making the blonde nod.

"Yeah, the way you answer every question that you're asked articulately. It's an honor to be able to witness such grace in the way you answer. I admire it. I admire you" Scarlett said the last part softly with a small smile.

Lizzie felt herself redden and subconsciously shrunk her body as if she could hide herself from Scarlett.

"Thank you" Lizzie replied softly.

"Yeah of course no problem." Scarlett responded, her eyes following the way Lizzie's fingers tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"You know, I think Florence just bailed on me if I'm being honest, so if your friend did as well, would you like to order something with me?" Scarlett nervously offered.

Lizzie was taken back by the offer which the blonde noticed and caused her to panic,

"I mean, you don't have to-"

"No, I do!" Lizzie quickly cut her off, "I would love to." Lizzie smiled shyly looking away.

"G-great. Yeah cool" Scarlett replied dumbly and offered a menu that was saved on the side of the table to Lizzie.

Lizzie thanked the girl and opened it up. A few seconds into analyzing the menu, Lizzie paused,

"Wait" Lizzie said

"Yeah? What's wrong?" Scarlett inquires.

"Did you say Florence?" Lizzie questioned. Florence was Hailee's girlfriend, and was one of the few connections Scarlett and her had because of their mutuals.

"Yeah?" Scarlett nodded still confused.

"I was supposed to meet.. Hailee here" Lizzie commented slowly. Scarlett still a bit confused tilted her head, trying to process it all, before her face showed a look of realization.

"Did they-" Scarlett gestured between herself and Lizzie.

"I-I think they did" Lizzie nodded with an incredulous look.

"I'm going to kill them" Scarlett scoffed and laughed looking outside as if the sneaky couple would be spotted.

Lizzie nodded in agreement before smiling, "We can kill them together, but maybe after we order something..?" Lizzie said with a cheeky expression.

Scarlett bit her lip before nodding and grinning, "Yeah, that sounds great"

Meanwhile, across the cafe was a mexican restaurant that Florence and Hailee were at. Both girls were huddled together, the blonde with binoculars pointed towards the cafe.

"Is it working?" Hailee excitedly whispers in Florence's ear.

Florence moves the binoculars so she can make eye contact with her girlfriend and nods, "It is! We did it"

Hailee grins at that before pulling Florence in for a celebratory kiss.
