Third Person's POV

Florence inserted her earbuds in respect to her roommate and friend who was currently talking-no arguing- with whoever was on the other side of the phone. If she had to guess from the bits of conversation she caught she would guess it was Avan on the phone.

Avan Jogia. Hailee's boyfriend of three years.

From the amount of time she's known Hailee, which is two years, she's heard a lot about the guy. They were high school sweethearts, the cheerleader and football captain, who eventually ended up together and ended up going to the same college where they continued those positions with scholarships.

Hailee and her were roommates since their first year at university. They weren't close at first, as Florence kept to herself and was intimidated by the social butterfly Hailee was. Eventually, Hailee broke down the blonde's walls and they were closer than Florence could ever imagine.

She's had to endure the many complaints that Hailee has vented to her, not that she minded, she could listen to the girl forever, but it made her wonder why she was still with him.

He seemed to get worst as time went on, and this was just a normal typical day of Hailee arguing with Avan over the phone.

"For the last time Avan, he was joking! Zayn and I are just friends!" Hailee shouted over the phone.

Florence paused her music but left her earbuds on pretending to still be listening to her songs, but curiously listening to the conversation.

"You do realize he's dating Lauren, right? He just loves to joke around. He's like a brother with me. You should know that by now" Hailee sighed exasperatedly, combing her hair with her hand frustratedly.

"Whatever Avan, call me when you've stop being a dramatic king" Hailee hung up throwing her phone on her bed and making her way to Florence's bed and jumps in, groaning loudly. Florence, who was on her bed, smiled amusedly at the girl right next to her,

"What now?"

"Zayn brought up the time he had a crush on me and how if he never met Lauren, he probably still would"  Hailee mumbled.

"Of course he did" Florence chuckled lightly knowing that although Zayn said that, didn't erase the fact that he now, was very much in love with his girlfriend of 2 years, Lauren now.

Since becoming friends with Hailee, also meant becoming friends with her close knit of friends including Zayn, Lauren, Lizzie, and Scarlett who always barged into their dorm. They all went to high school together, besides Scarlett, and so happened to go to the same college. The friend group met Scarlett their first year, with Scarlett being Lizzie's roommate who eventually became the latter's girlfriend.

"And Avan's having a little fit again, yeah?" Florence finished off questioning although she already knew the answer.

"Yep" Hailee mumbled covering her eyes with her right arm, "He got mad because I laughed it off instead of telling him off? He was clearly messing around."

"Your boyfriend needs to find himself a sense of humor" Florence rolls her eyes.

Hailee only hums in agreement and stays silent after that,
