"The fourth game is about to begin"
The robotic feminine voice blares out of the speakers of the waiting room. Yelena glances at the leftover survivors from the last game all in their green outfits, the numbers hard to miss on their chest. She looks down at hers, '067' and back up meeting eyes with the girl she had pulled into their group, '240,' for the third game that they had just won.

'240' was the girl Yelena had taken into the group after seeing her alone by the stairs. Rather than finding someone who was obviously strong and fit for this type of game, there was something inside her that told her the blue-eyed girl was the right choice. Almost like an invisible string pulling her to the tall girl.
It was a stupid tug-a-war that meant death for the losing team, falling to their inevitable deaths below. Lucky enough for Yelena's team, the arrogant bastard, Tony, was a genius and they were able to win from taking his advice.

The necklace the '240' girl was wearing glittering in the light of the waiting room. She hadn't been paying close enough attention to it to know exactly what it was, but she knew of its presence since she first approached her as it dangled around the girl's neck freely.
240's name was Kate Bishop.
That was how the girl introduced herself.
Speaking of the girl, she shot Yelena a bright smile, making the blonde roll her eyes.
How can someone be so bubbly after all of this?
While she was annoyed at the peculiar happiness radiating from the tall girl, she couldn't help the warm feeling in her stomach from it.
