Prompt: "I might partially be blind right now but that doesn't stop me from seeing how fucking beautiful my optometrist is. Holy Shit." (Found this prompt on tumblr so I had to do it)

(A/N: So AO3 is down, losing my mind slightly, and wrote this very stupid, cracked, Katelena oneshot. I don't know what this is..but enjoy?

I also published this for @lauready because I want them to publish their story. So once it's published GO READ THAT AFTER

Not proofread folks)

"I do not need glasses," The blonde grumbled as she impatiently taps her foot in the waiting room of 'Bishop's Optometry' with her older sister right next to her. The redhead was sporting a disbelief expression reacting to her younger sister's words,

"Says the one who kept messing up her spices and almost killed Steve because of it"

"Okay, who even is allergic to paprika?" Yelena scrunched her nose.

Natasha scoffed.

"You are being so hostile! You don't have to be here, I'm a grown adult thank you very much," Yelena glared childishly.

"Yes, I am aware you are 29 but you know full well if I wasn't here, you would never get your prescription and you would stubbornly be blind for the rest of your life," Natasha said in that stupid older sister voice she always uses on her, "You may be a fantastic vet who cares for animals, but you never care for yourself."

'Whatever," Yelena grumbled but sighs in reluctant defeat.

"Yelena Belova?" A redhead called out with a kind smile.

"That's me," Yelena exhales as she stands up and nods silently to Natasha who was silently staring at the other redhead with an indescribable expression. The blonde furrows her eyes in confusion but shrugs and stands right in front of the redhead.

"Hi Yelena. I'm Wanda," Wanda smiles before gesturing to the back, "We're just going to do a routine check real quick before you meet our optometrist. Please take a seat."

Yelena silently obeys and stares at the unfamiliar machine in front of her.

"This is your first time?" Wanda asks as she stands on the other side of the machine adjusting a few things.

"Yeah," Yelena simply responded as she stared curiously at the redhead doing her job.

"Well this machine is just so we can get a quick look at your eye, make sure nothing too major that this machine can see can be found. It will blow some air so don't freak out too much," Wanda reassures.

Yelena grumbled under her breath, something about not being a child, but nodded.

"Please place your chin up here and just stare at the balloon straight up ahead.." Wanda instructed and before Yelena knew it, she felt a puff of air hit her right eye.

Wasn't too bad.

"Next eye please," Wanda said patiently.

Another puff of air hits her left eye.

"Great. Let's get you in the room now and Dr Bishop should be with you soon. She's just finishing up with a patient," Wanda explains as she leads the blonde into an empty room.

"You can go ahead and sit right there. Dr Bishop will knock in a few minutes," Wanda gestures to the chair before waving farewell.

Yelena nodded, watching the door shut behind and taking the time to analyze the room. Glancing around, she noticed a variety of eye-related charts and posters mounted on the walls. They displayed intricate diagrams of the eye's anatomy, colorful illustrations of common eye conditions, and visual acuity charts.
