part 12 - fever

Iris's POV

Today was supposed to be our rehearsel. It’s saturday and I don’t feel well, my body hurts and feel warm, I felt cold all of a sudden and my head feels so heavy. I think I might have a fever, must be because I was waiting for Liz yesterday, it was raining, and I couldn’t find any shelter accept for roofs, so the throughfall rain still hits me. I still had to go to practise or else Miss Fea is going to be mad. I think. but it’s still early,only nine fortyfive, lets just take a nap Iris. A very short nap then you'll get all hyped up again. My mom always said that sweating can cool our body off. So I went to my mother's room and take the most thick comforter I could get so I can sweat off. Oh, right, my mom had to go to Queensland for 3 days and she’s bringing Evie with her. Home alone at last, but I had to fall sick. Fantastic.

 Kaden's POV

"do you know where Iris is?" Miss Fea suddenly ask me. I was wondering the same thing. Iris is always on time. Now is already eleven fifteen. Where could she be now.

"I dont know Miss. We're not in such good terms" Miss Fea just let out a groan and went to the other students

Hmm, where is she? why are you feeling worried Kaden? she's not someone important. but I just can’t get over my worriness. She is sometimes clumsy and I heard that she's all alone since her mother n sister were away. Oh god! Don’t tell me there's a burglar at her house or something like that!

I quickly asked Miss Fea her address. She gave it to me but she is still wondering why.

"I’m gonna go check on Iris, Miss" I said once I get the address. I rushed off to my bike, I heard Miss Fea said something before I leave but I don’t think it’s anything important.

I was infront of Iris's house. It seems quiet, I press the doorbell but no respond this just make me more worried. She must’ve known we have practise today, so I don’t think she would go somewhere else.

I try to open the main door, and amazingly it is not locked. This just prove my theory right. I was about to walk in. Wait kaden. What if there is a burglar, they'll get to you in no time then I heard a thud sound. It sounded like something fall down, without further thinking, I went inside as fast as I could to see whats going on

I saw a body? well, it does have a shape like a body. I went on slowly to see what it really is.

"shit! Iris! are you okay" it was actually Iris in a thick comforter. She had a fever. A very high one. Her body is very hot and not that kinda 'hot' okay.

"Iris! Iris! Oh come on!" I shake her body but she just let out a groan

I carried her to her room, which I’m not sure is her room or not. I tuck her in her bed and I went to get some damp towel to put on her forehead. She seems to open her eyes slowly after that

"what the hell! what are you doing here?!" her eyes were big and now I just realize she had beautiful eyes. She was always with her specks wherever whenever

"relax. ouch! Don’t hit me!" she really did hit me, as if I was going to do anything really.

"explain! now!" she shouts

"okay, relax, jeez. You didn’t come for practise and Miss Fea was worried about you since you know, you kinda live by yourself for a few days, so she asked me to check up on you" okay, I lied. so what? I didn’t  need to add up her hatred on me anyway.

"really?" her eyes is slightly red because of the fever

"yes really, now, let me see" I put my hand on her forehead to see how her  fever is going. She seems shock that I did that and blushed really hard. I find that really attractive. Wait. What? I need to stop hanging around this girl

"ehem, Miss Stern, you do know that your fever is very high right now? I suggest you take your medication after eating. It should be done twice a day. Are you clear?" I pretended to be her doctor and give her some advise, she just chuckled, give a nodd and a 'hmm'

Iris's POV

He just touched my forehead. Only my dad and mom does it. I can feel myself getting all red when he did that. It somehow make me feel comfortable and safe.

"ehem, miss stern, you do know that your fever is very high right now? I suggest you take your medication after eating. It should be done twice a day. Are you clear?" he pretended to be my doctor. I chuckled at his behaviour, he seems to care, maybe because he did something terrible to me.

"now, go get some sleep" I was already halfway to lala land when he said that

"where are you going?" I pull his back shirt, he was facing the other way. urghh! why did I did that! damn it.

"not going anywhere princess. just go to sleep okay" he tuck me again and smiled at me. I wanted to tell him that thats not what I meant, but I dont have the energy to do so. so I close my eyes and ready to take off to lala land.

This is as far as I could write. Having a fever and I HATE it, I still want to upload it though, don’t know why. hehe. I wish I could write longer, I really do. But there’s more to this okay! hehehe.
