Aidan's P.O.V.
Christmas decor everywhere, collected puzzle on a floor in the living room, smell of vanilla mixed with bergamot lingers in the air, little scrunchies and keys from Porsche lay in a small bowl on the dresser in the hallway, chewing toys scatted around the floor, ideally tidied up environment, peaceful silence and beyond cosy, beautiful, family, soothing aura.
Home.
I am finally home.
Charlotte's P.O.V.
Scare from my nightmare vanished the second pair of inked, strong, robust arms wrapped around my waist from behind and stunning bouquet popped up in my sight, making me tear up and grin in pure delight.
I turned around and squeezed Aidan tightly, soundless sob escaping from me as he hoisted me up in his arms and hugged me securely, kissing my temple gently.
"I missed you so much."- I whispered shakily, wrapping my legs around his lean waist, snuggling into his embrace as he held me tightly, laying soothing kisses on my cheek.
"I missed you more than you can imagine, my love."- stated meaningfully Aidan, my glossy, green eyes meeting his spellbinding, caramel-brown irises.
"Shh, everything is okay. I am right here, we are okay."- whispered my beloved man, kissing me lovingly, bringing truly happy and tranquil smile on my face.
"Come here, my angel."- he soothed, carrying me inside our bedroom, closing balcony door after us.
He put the stunning bouquet on my nightstand and laid us down, cuddling me mellowly, hiding me in his muscular arms. Our legs tangled in ideal mess and I took a deep breath of his spicy, peppery fragrance, blinking away tears.
"What happened, baby girl?"- asked in concern Aidan, kissing the top of my head tenderly as I hugged him tighter.
"I had a nightmare."- I sighed, my eyes shutting close as my mind involuntary replayed the horror.
"I couldn't give you a baby. I miscarried."- I almost whispered, shattering in his arms from the fright and dread.
That nightmare is type of horror you cannot wish to anyone, even your worst enemy. My tears, pleas to save our baby, to tell me that it isn't reality and everything is fine, emptiness and sadness in his eyes, us holding each other tightly as we couldn't accept the loss.
Loss that nobody should ever have no matter what.
"Look at me, princess."- said calmly my beloved man, cupping my cheek, lovingly wiping away my tears.
"You are healthy, I am healthy, we have clean genetics, we are potent and nothing is going to prevent us from having a healthy, happy baby: we are more than capable of conceiving in natural way, you will have smooth and healthy pregnancy, you will have good labor and I will be with you through it all, I will support you and our children under any circumstances and we will be close-knit, content family."- stated confidently and tenderly Aidan as I nodded, taking a deep breath through my shaky sob.
