Charlotte's P.O.V.
It's been 2 weeks since the arrival of our baby Melody.
Our lives are that good type of crazy, the type of crazy that makes our hearts flutter, makes us laugh, teaches us so many new things and brings nothing, but pure euphoria.
Everything is truly great, but we also had our downfall.
Aidan and I were so happy for the first week, we were high on bliss and excitement, but once it all settled down, we were at our lowest together, vulnerable and emotional. We cried because we are the happiest, we are parents to our two little angels and we withstood all the obstacles and problems together. We felt so many things at once, the whole night was spent in tears, but we handled it, side by side, comforting each other, smiling and laughing through tears. It was an incomparable experience, a beautiful part of our story.
Our lives are finally where they are meant to be.
I beamed contentedly, having prepared everything for my sugar bear's arrival, and checked on the small details before going to my tiny sugar.
"Hello, my sleeping beauty."- I spoke lovingly, kissing my baby's cheeks while taking her in my arms, smiling at that cute, drowsy look on her adorable face.
"You really are our nap princess."- I giggled, smooching her tiny cheeks, my heart brimming with love.
If we thought that El loves napping, Mel took it to a whole new level: in a week she got familiar with her surroundings and her curiosity settled down, therefore, she is moderately active now and sleeps for longer due to the calmness around her. An afternoon nap is sacred for Melody and Elodie gladly joins his sister for an hour or two of napping - a sight that Aidan and I cannot handle without smiling like crazy and melting right on the spot.
"Here you go, sweetie."- I said with a smile, handing her mini Rainbow - the only toy that she is obsessed with and won't let go of.
To say that it makes Elodie overjoyed is to say absolutely nothing. She is the happiest to share her toys with her small sister, who wants to play with those toys only with her. Melody as if already knows that 4 PM is the time when Elodie comes home from her extracurricular activities and cuddles her; if El holds up, Mel looks around as if lost, the cutest pout on her plump lips and makes the most heartwarming grabby hands at her sister once she is home.
Aidan and I cannot admire their relationship enough.
"Let's get the dinner ready, tiny jellybean."- I said warmly, hugging my miniature jewel as she nuzzled into me, her tiny thumbs rubbing the little unicorn as she is holding it gently.
Elodie's P.O.V.
"Lesli, hi!"- I chirped, dashing to my best friend, who squealed my name and rushed to me.
"How are you? I haven't heard from you since December 24th! Where were you!?"- stated Lesli, squeezing me friendlily as I shone with joy.
"I am a big sister now!"- I spoke in pure pride and joy and her jaw dropped, making me giggle.
"No way! Since when? What's her name?"- asked my best friend happily as I grinned.
"Mummy gave birth to my tiny sister on Christmas morning. Her name is Melody Elise Hoffman. She looks exactly like our mummy: tiny blondie with huge, gorgeous, rich green eyes, button nose, plump and pink lips."- I shared my joy, counting seconds down until I am back with my baby sister.
"That's so cute."- murmured Lesli with puppy eyes and I nodded, loving that I am daddy's copy and baby Mel is mummy's copy.
Lesli told me all about how she spent her holidays and I told my best friend about my amazing Christmas and about my little sister, both of us changing into our clothes for tennis.
