Elodie's P.O.V.

"You are so playful today."- I giggled, smiling when my little sister giggled in return, the two of us by the seashore.

Baby Mel is in a special inflatable circle for babies, the inflatable ring looks like a unicorn! It has sparkles inside, an armrest and a special area for sitting down with slots for legs, it looks super pretty. I have one just like that, only a bit bigger. Daddy and mummy got us matching inflatable circles specifically for the trip, which is amazing!

"This is a shell, jellybean."- I said happily, giving her a small, pink-beige shell that we found together this morning.

"Nautiluses are one of the most beautiful types of seashells in the world. This rare and intriguing living fossil appeared nearly 500 million years ago and can be found living on deep slopes and coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific."- I informed my baby sister, sharing the information from the book, which our parents bought me yesterday in the local store when we were strolling around.

"The regal Queen Conch Shell has long been considered one of the most beautiful types of shells. Growing up to 10 inches in length, the Queen Conch is one of the largest seashell species in existence and comes from the Strombidae family of shells which are native to the Caribbean Sea. For centuries, their lustrous pink shells have been fashioned into ocean jewellery such as bracelets and hairpins."- I said with interest, really fascinated by such cute and unique creations.

"I too wonder what kind of shell this is."- I murmured with a smile, admiring the peculiar shell in my small sister's tiny hands.

"Maybe daddy or mummy knows."- I wondered, really curious to find out what kind of shell we found.

Just as I sat up on the warm, golden sand, a very strong, big, fast wave rose.

"Careful there, jellybean."- I said in worry, rushing to tenderly nudge my baby sister away from the wave, utterly forgetting about myself.

I did save my tiny sister from getting hurt, but I didn't think about myself.

I tripped, fell down and didn't manage to get up faster than a wave that approached.

The massive wave covered me completely and quickly vanished, leaving me with tears and scare.

"Shh, it's going to be okay, sugar bear."- soothed mummy, her and daddy right by my side as I cried, clutching onto daddy once he scooped me up in his arms.

"It burns."- I whispered shakily, tears and salt burning my eyes so much, so badly.

"Shh, we will make it better, baby, we promise."- assured daddy, kissing my cheek, and I nodded, holding onto him.

Mummy took baby Melody in her little arms and we went to our sunbeds.

Aidan's P.O.V.

I have no idea who got more scared: Elodie, who got a shitload of salty water in her gorgeous eyes; Melody, who got scared because of a big wave and is now crying because her sister is crying or Charlotte and I, who are worried as fuck about our tiny girls.

"Look down, sweetheart, please."- said Charlotte lovingly and Elodie complied, sitting on her mum's lap, clutching onto her.

Char gently pulled her lower lid down and flushed the eye with lukewarm water before doing the same with the other eye and repeating the process a few times while I am trying to soothe Melody down, but she just isn't having it.
