Chapter 18// Apollo
I thought this trip would be a great distraction. But then there's Cameron. I completely forgot for a second that the shithead was a part of Blue's family.
We've been out here for a week, and luckily I have seen little of him. Until now. All I want to do is drag him on a boat and throw him somewhere in the middle of the Caribbean sea.
"You've been glaring at Cameron for the past twenty minutes." I blink and turn my head to see my girl looking at me with a small smile on her face. "You know, we're all literally about to be in a boat for the whole day. Please try not to punch him in the face."
A smirk etches onto my face, and I lightly shake my head.
"You know for you I'd—"
"Hurt anyone. Yeah, I know." She rolls her eyes, and then I watch with hungry eyes as she adjusts her breasts into her tight white bikini. Her beautiful curls cascade down her back and I smile at the white flower tucked behind her ear.
She's a fucking goddess. So beautiful.
"I'm not kidding, Blue. If he looks at me in the wrong way, I'm gonna punch him so hard, he'll end up back in England." Blue throws her head back in laughter.
"Okay, babe." She nods and stands up, putting her hand out for me to take. "Come, let's go before they all go off without us."
She drags me along the beach, our feet sinking into the white sand, which is practically burning the soles of my feet. Blue's mother and stepfather smile at the two of us. Her stepfather, Harrison, is a great man, so I do not know how he raised Cameron. It's clear he's also unaware of his son's disgusting behaviour and I know that because I've watched the way he acts around his dad and step-mum. All innocent, like he's incapable of hurting my girl.
"Hey, lovebirds!" Harrison pats my shoulder and leans down to kiss Blue on the forehead. "You ready?" We all nod and climb up the stairs to what's basically a massive yacht.
"Did you put sun cream on?" Blue's mother questions us with a concerned look in her eyes, and I smile gently.
"Of course, Mrs. Green." I nod my head. "Is Arabella okay?" I question.
Mr. and Mrs. Green have both been happy to look after Arabella for the entire trip. At first, I felt bad. I didn't want to dump all the responsibilities of my sister on them, but they were more than happy to take care of her while I spent time with Blue.
"Just call me Scarlett. You don't need to be so formal around me." She nudges me gently and then looks around for her husband, who is ready to drive the boat out to sea.
I jump as a pair of arms wrap around my waist and a warm cheek is pressed against the skin of my back. My eyes flutter closed as a content feeling floods through my body. The sun shines brightly on my face and I don't think I've ever been so happy before in my life. Even if there is someone on the boat with us who I'd happily murder if I got the chance.
"Hi, sweetheart." I turn around and wrap my arms around Blue's shoulder, skimming my fingers up and down her soft skin. "I love you." She bites her lip as I look down at her.
Nothing satisfies me as much as calling this girl mine. No more sex-only rules. I can kiss and hug her whenever I want. I can love her so freely that I almost feel like my heart could explode. Blue is seriously a breath of fresh air.
"I love you."
An hour into our boat trip, I lay on a sun lounger reading a book. Blue is curled up next to me, lightly snoring. Her curls are wet from the diving competition she was doing with Harrison. I had to stay on deck because I could see Arabella itching to jump into the water herself and there was no way I was allowing that. The girl can't swim to save her life. I've tried to take her to swimming lessons, but she always cried and begged me to take her home. So honestly, I have no idea where she's built the confidence to jump into the middle of the sea.
