You know what Victoria does in her daily life, her struggles her freedom in literature last night nothing unusual did happen to Victoria or her friends in that room that was not the same in the lower rooms where the boys slept a young boy around the same age as Victoria was under the covers of his bed playing with cruelly built rust covered figures his imagination running wild one damaged old screw fixed robot fighting another one in an arena to the death calling down powers beyond a normal human could do like lighting from the sky. This boy name was Jamie he is different as only recently he appeared at The Orphanage being taken in by The Caretakers from outside of the building mumbling about a terrible storm and a faraway place called Yoatteat in the deep north he was not mad they is a city called that on edge of a giant ice lake it's quite cold in these parts this is not my story it's one of the orphans and they escape into the world. Jamie did not like this place. How he got to this building involved a boat and a train crash. This is not his home. He did not know the ways of The Orphanage yet feeling sleepy he placed his toys away and sleep came to him.

Victoria did the same thing as all her days but noticing in the Workshop a new face it did not happen a lot who was this boy, she found out at Playtime it would be a chance if only he was in another group meaning a different time Victoria did not know this that boy was going to change everything and bring the freedom Victoria desired so much breaking from her circle of life into a new more adventurous circle.

If a cloak was on the wall of the Workshop Victoria would have had a terrible time waiting till the beating of the iron drum came by one of the Caretakers it did come only it was not Victoria's row it was Jamie's row he followed the other children.

Victoria hear the clanging of the drum looking up seeing it was another row till she spotted the blonde hair of the new boy trailing behind all of the other children it would be against the rules to stop doing a task children who did this would return changed and then one in five hundred never to be seen again Victoria placing her tools down on the bench swiftly ducking below the benches going along them trying to slip through and join that row of children before the door closed row by row as quick as a mechanical mouse running away from a cat, Till she ran into one of the Caretakers its imposing figure and warped expression on its face moving its face down to look at Victoria as tilted its head a creepy voice came out of what looked like its mouth

"Poor thing it's not your turn Victoria you can't run away from a trip to The Governess now you done this"

Number 5 was the Caretaker Victoria ran into strange creatures these Caretakers one of the strangest parts of The Orphanage Number 5 after speaking harshly picked up Victoria going into the corridor through more doors up a staircase the walls improve as they nearer where The Governess is from wallpaper looking brand new it was bright pink striped to strange fluffy floor which Victoria had never seen before.

The Caretaker slowly approached a wooden green door pushing a button to the side of it, a whizzing of steam led to a bell ringing as the door opened like a ticking clock inside was the shadowy outline of a woman sitting behind a desk.

"What is it my dear another box of parts not a nasty child out of order again" sinisterly order the women

Noises came from The Caretaker and then women said

"Aaaa a ruler breaker why did you not bring it to the Deep where it can meet Mr. Fear he fix it this will cost you Number 3 you will pay you know the orders of who to go to if this happens it does not matter what this thing hears it will not tell after its meeting with Mr. Fear in the Deep leave it with me I can send it down in a dumbwaiter"

Caretaker 3 pushed Victoria into the room and then it left the room closing the door behind The Governess as her legs crawl across from behind the desk.
