Must I choose? A Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction

First duel

As I open my eyes and look at the deck, I knew it would help me a lot. It may just have been a normal spellcaster deck, but oh well. It will help a lot, at least I hope it would. I looked at Joey and Yami, "This is the deck I would like." I stated. "Very nice choice," Yami started, "you may have the deck for free." 'For free? Why? I'm never this lucky...' I think to myself. "Thanks" I reply as I picked the deck up. We all said our goodbyes as I walked outside of the duel shop. I started down the road, practically skipping. 'I finally have a deck!' I think to myself. I was still skipping until a ran into someone. I fell on the sidewalk, "ouch.." I say quietly. "You should really watch where your going", I hear a voice say and a hand reach out to me. I gradually take the hand and get help up. I look at the person who the hand belonged to and saw the boy from before, very tall with brown hair and ice blue eyes. We both stood there for a few seconds just looking at each other. "T-thanks for helping me..." I practically squeak out. "No problem", he said, then looked at the deck in my hand. "You duel?" He asks, I shake my head no. "I just bought my deck" I reply. "Would you like to try and duel me?" He asks, I immediately nod my head. He turns and starts walking down a road. I follow.

I take a deep breath, this was going to be my first duel... I looked at the boy on the other side of the stadium-like arena. It was inside of a huge mansion, whis I think he lived in... "I'm Seto Kaiba" I hear him say. "I'm Willow" I reply back. "Are you ready?" He asks. I nod my head, I hope I was ready. He takes his deck out of his duel disk and shuffles it. I do the same with the duel disk Seto let me borrow. 'Just breathe... it doesn't matter if you win ,or lose, it's just a game..' I told myself. I hope this guy wasn't a person who plays shadow games, because if he was, I'm in trouble. "Could you start?" I ask, he nodded.

He pulled five cards from his deck and I did as well. The rest remained in the duel disk. He put a card on the deck which almost immediately appeared on the feild. "I play Vorce Raider in attack mode!" He calls out. I looked at my cards that could beat his. His card was 1900 attack points, so I just needed one above that to be safe.

So far, my deck was
•Blood Sucker, ATK 1300 DEF 1500
•Machine King Prototype, ATK 1600 DEF 1500
•Disenchanter, ATK 2000 DEF 2300
•Dragunity Aklys, ATK 1000 DEF 800
•Guldfaxe of the Norndic Beasts, ATK 1600 DEF 1000

I guess my best go was the Disenchanter. "I play Disenchanter, in defense mode!" I say as I set the card on the disk, watching as it appeared on the feild. "Good move" I hear him say, "thanks" I reply.

He drew a card from his deck, then laid a card down. "I play Kaiser Sea Horse in defense mode!" He says as he lays the card down in defense mode.

' kaiser sea dragon.. That's not that strong of a card... this guys planning something....' I think to myself as I draw a card.
Hannibal Necromanger, ATK 1400 DEF 1800.
Just in case this guy was planning something, I wanted to make sure I was ready. "I put my Disenchanter in defense mode!" I say as I switch the card around.

He smirked, obviously glad I didn't attack, I'm starting to think I made a mistake...

He drew another card from his deck and smirked even wider. Now I KNOW I messed up! "I sacrifice my Vorce raider and Kaiser sea horse and play my Blue Eyes White Dragon in defense mode!" He says. 'Well there goes the duel...' I think to myself, sulking a bit. "And now, Blue Eyes, attack her life points directly with White Lightning Attack!" He says, the dragon almost immediately attacks me, shooting it's white lightning directly at me. I must say, it's not a good feeling. It hurt a little. My life points go from 2000 to 0 in a matter of seconds. I get off the platform I was on. So did Seto. We both walked over to each other. "Nice game, it was fun while it lasted." I say, smiling. "You did great for your first duel." He says, smiling.
