Must I choose? A Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction

Duke Devlin

I wake up to sunlight coming through my window and landing strait on my face. I cover my face with my blanket, then hear my alarm go off.

I groan as I roll off the bed, landing on the ground with a thud. I stand and turn the alarm clock, then change into my school uniform.

I walk downstairs and outside before my mom could ask if I wanted breakfast, but after grabbing my back pack.

I start walking to school alone, enjoying the quietness of morning. I hear birds chirping and flying to their babies and feeding them.

Once I reach the school, I frown at the loudness of the students waiting outside for the school to let them inside.

I sigh and walk into the crowd of students. As soon as the doors open I walk inside, following the others.

I walk to my locker and open it, putting my book bag inside and grabbing my materials for 1st hour.

As I shut my locker, there was a voice behind me. "Hey, you look pretty cute."

It was a voice I've never heard before, so I turn around and look at the person. He had black hair put into a pony tail, with very... Attractive... Green eyes.

(A/N: no, I personally don't like Duke. I'm just saying what I see in him. By the way, I know this isn't how he acts in the anime, I'm kinda making him a... ladies man in this. If ya know what I mean.)

He also had a black line from under one of his eyes. He seemed like one of those people that will date many girls just to gain popularity.

"Hello..." I reply to him, although seeming uncomfortable talking to him already. "The names Duke Devlin," he says.

"Willow," I reply back to him. I can already tell I need to stay away from this guy as much as possible.

"Your a lot cuter then I thought, your pretty hot." He says, I just turn my head.

"Sorry but... I have a boyfriend..." I lie. What else was a I supposed to say???

"And I have a math test," he says. I look at him with confusion. "Oh sorry, I thought we were naming things we could cheat on." He says, while snaking his arm around my waist.

I quickly push his arm away and run to my English class. I sit at my desk and worry that he might find me. He has 20 minutes before class starts...

I sigh and lay my head on the desk in front of me. I just hope that the whole day will go better then it has so far.

I replay the conversation I just had with Duke in my head, and grit my teeth once I got to the part he put his arm around my waist.

The 5 minute bell rings, telling the students they have 5 minutes to get to there 1st hour class.

'15 minutes passed already?' I think to myself, smiling at the thought that class was about to start.

The one and only time I will be glad to have class. And it's only because I wanted to stay away from that boy Duke.

The minute bell rings. I sigh in relief realizing I was safe. But, that all ended when Duke walked in the classroom. I gasp in shock, telling myself it can't be real.

'I-it's just a illusion... He's not here..' I tell myself, knowing the truth secretly that it was real and happening.

He sees me and smirks, then sits in front of me.

'Well isn't this a great start to the day...'

Anyways, the reason this is so late at night is because I got a very bad sunburn today and anytime I try to lay down it hurts really bad... So yeah...
