Life Saver

The rest of the weekend passed by too fast in my opinion. Jaden left on Sunday and before you know it, I was standing in front of my locker at school on Monday morning.

I sighed, wondering how the weekend passed so quickly as I open my locker and shove my back pack inside. I grab my things for first hour then shut my locker.

"Hey Willow" I hear a deep voice from behind me. 'Bakura?' I ask myself as I turn around and look at him.

"Hey Bakura!" I reply, smiling. He smiles slightly as well. "How did your weekend go?" He asks me.

"It went by so quickly, I can't believe it's Monday already! It seems like school just got out on Friday a few hours ago..." I reply as Bakura laughs. I laugh too.

"I know how you feel, the weekend just goes by too fast." He responds. I nod, glad to know I wasn't the only one that thought so.

"But another Friday is coming up soon, so we'll be back out soon." He says, with which I simply reply "And then it'll be Monday again before you know it!"

He smiles and nods. "That's how it seems to work, doesn't it?" I nod back, quite displeased with how it works. Who decided that we go to school for 5 days of the 7, and only get 3 months off of the 12?!

"I think we need to have a talk to whoever decided all of this school stuff." I say, sounding very immature with the whole sentence. But Bakura just nods.

The bell rings, signaling that we have 5 minutes until class starts. "Well I should get to class, if I don't, Ryou would kill me if I was late again. See you after school?" He asks, and I nod.

He smiles then walks off towards his class. I smile to myself and wall towards my first hour as well. I reach my English class and realize something is missing.

'That book that we're reading in class! It's gone! I know I grabbed it, where could it have gone?!" I question myself. The bell rings, saying anyone who isn't in there class will receive a tardy.

'Oh no!' I think, still not finding my book. The teacher stands from her desk and walks to the front of the class and says good morning.

I check my things one more time and still not finding the book, slouch down in my seat. The teacher tells the students to pull out the book and turn to chapter 6, where we were supposed to read until last night.

"Willow, where is your book?" The teacher asks. "I... I seemed to have lost it..." I say, not knowing what to do.

"Well, I guess you will have to pay the library for it and get another one." she says. I look down as there was a knock on the door.

The teacher opens the door and I hear a familiar voice. "Is Willow in this class?"

'Bakura?? What is he doing here??' I wonder as I look up. The teacher nods, "Yes she is, do you need her?"

"No, but I believe she needs this." Bakura says and hands the teacher my book. My eyes widen.

'The book!' I exclaim in my head. My teacher said thank you and Bakura left. Then, the teacher set the book on my desk.

"It's a good think you have such good friends, Ms. Tora." She says.

'Yes it is.'

Oh wait! I probably won't be able to update next Monday from Exams :P. But next Tuesday, I get out of school so my goal is to update a lot more frequently! I hope that happens!!! Anyways, I will update next Tuesday or Wednesday instead of Monday, but I will update! PROMISE!
