Times Change It Up

It was early morning at John Hughes High School, Rocky arrives at school and goes to CeCe's locker, she sees CeCe with her head stuck in her locker.

"What?, What are you doing CeCe?", Rocky asked as he touched CeCe's shoulder.

CeCe sticks her head out of her locker and growls a little, she has a little messy hair and she's wearing a pretty sparkly outfit.

"Wow, you look so awful and that outfit is so shiny you're going to blind me", Rocky said in a mocking way, "What happened to you? Couldn't sleep?"

"Yeah, let's just say that's it", CeCe said as she closed her locker.

"Come on, let's do your hair", Rocky took CeCe to her locker where she took out a comb and started to comb CeCe's hair, "CeCe what's up?"

"You asked that for the third time", CeCe said as she took a deep breath.

"This is not just a sleep problem, if it was, it would be solved with some coffee and some sweets", Rocky said as she combed CeCe's hair

"I already told you Rocky, I couldn't sleep last night, that's all”, said CeCe as she fixed her hair a bit and went to sit down and then lay down on the school sidewalk, "Have you ever felt something you never thought you would feel, a feeling very strange and that comes suddenly", said CeCe while looking at the ceiling leaning

"I'm not a psychologist, but maybe that's a very hidden feeling that you hid for a long time and your mind just couldn't take it anymore, why comes that question?", said Rocky as she sat next to CeCe's head

"It doesn't matter, don't listen to me, I'm just rambling, sleeping problems", CeCe said as she got up and listened to the bell, "Come on we should go to class"

The girls entered the classes, but CeCe just wasn't there, she seemed to be in an alternate dimension, she was out of time, her mind was somewhere else, when leaving class, Rocky goes to talk to CeCe

"Earth calling CeCe, answer CeCe" Rocky said as she snapped his fingers.

CeCe gave a small smile, "That was good I must admit, I was rambling again" CeCe said as she got up from her seat

"Oh come on CeCe, tell me what's going on with you, we're best friends, we don't hide anything from each other" Rocky said as she went after CeCe

"I already told you, it's nothing, I'll just go home to sleep from now on and tomorrow I'll be fresh and good as new" CeCe said as she let out a small smile

"Are you sure?" Rocky asked

"Of course trust me" Cece said as she left "See you later Rocky" Cece walked out the door, while Rocky looked at her a little worried

Even though CeCe told Rocky that she was going home, CeCe goes to a park and buys duck feed and starts to feed them, while she sees a couple sitting and talking in the background, CeCe looks at them with a look of sadness and nostalgia, "Oh Ducklings you are the only ones who can understand why I've been like this lately, how I wish I didn't feel this weird feeling, I was fine months ago, but look at me now, I'm a mess, I can't tell to Rocky what happens to me, she would laugh at me, Sometimes I wish I hadn't gotten my memory back, it unlocked something in me that maybe was better locked down.", CeCe said while feeding the ducks, "Yikes, I look like an old lady feeding these ducks, but it feels very therapeutic and liberating, now I understand why old people do it much"

"Everyone falls for these ducklings sooner or later," a voice said causing CeCe to drop much of the ducks' food.

"Deuce god you made me freak out" CeCe said as she turned around
