A Field of Flowers and a Dog With Wings

After a long time I wake up, this time sunlight illuminating my surroundings, that have seemingly changed. The clear illuminated pool still shines a bright blue, but I'm no longer in a forest. I'm now in what seems to be an endless field of flowers. Color all around me. Yellows, pinks and blues fill up the field of tall wildflowers. Suddenly, something jumps on me causing me to fall back. A Dog? 

"Esther!" 

The dog barks, or speaks? I stare back in confusion as I look at the dog. It's a somewhat large dog with dark red fur and piercing gold eyes and a purple and gold collar. The dog looks like any other, except for the small yellow wings under his ears. 

"I'm sorry, who and what are you?" I speak. 

"So this was your punishment then. I see. Well come on, we've got work to do." 

Without anywhere else to go, I follow the dog. We walk for a while down a thin path before we stop in front of a small cottage. 

"Well go on then, open the door" the dog says. I try to open the door but it's locked. 

"Not like that you dimwit. You need to knock first!" 

Confused, I knock and the door unlocks itself. 

"Ever heard of manners?" the dog says with an annoyed tone rushing in the house

"What is this place?" I ask

"Your house of course" the dog responds while looking for something "Ah here it is" the dog puts his head in a cabinet and pulls out some bread. "Let's eat shall we?"
