a nervous smile creeps up on my face as i look at lulu and laugh. she's terrified.

"it's okay! it's okay!" i say reassuring her, "look, we can just climb over! just put your foot on this bit.."

i speak with my hands, pointing and labelling each step.

"you ready?"

i turn around to see lulu absolutely blank. her face white as a ghost as i sigh and yank her bag from the front straps.

"goo!!!" i say, pushing her and basically climbing the gate for her. she gets to the top as she freezes.

"tf are you doing?? GOO!!" i say, my patience running low and she's starting to get on my nerves. she just sort of awkwardly stands there, sticking out tall on top of a gate.

i sigh and jump up to the gate, pushing her.

"AHHHH!!" she screams, falling off the gate onto the other side.

"i don't have enough energy for this" i mumble under my breath, i mean to be fair i hadn't eaten since lunch. which was 40 minutes ago. but still.

i throw myself over the gate and land on my feet, looking at lulu whos now laughing.

"oh now it's funny? if we get f*cking caught it's all your fault." i mumble as i push her back, urging her to run through the alleyway as she's laughing hysterically. we slide underneath the railing.

the sun shon onto her golden hair as it sway with the motion of her running. i scrunched my eyes, looking back every few seconds.

—- 15 mins later —-

i sit on the bench, swinging my feet back and forth as i lick my lollipop, one hand between my thighs keeping myself warm. we sit and talk about each little thing that had just happened. over analyse every stupid thing that we normally wouldn't even realise.

"god, their faces! it was so funny. you should've seen the way amir looked at me when we barged into their class." lulu chuckles, being bubbly as ever.

i laugh along, but the only thing in my mind was noah. the way he just sat there, no emotions like the people around him. he was the only person i was looking at, i was the only person he was looking at. i wish i could've seen amirs face, but i'd much rather look at noah's.
