As she started walking, with heavy heart and swollen eyes, a lot of unasked questions still remained unanswered to her; questions she knew no one would probably could have answers of, not even she herself. Passing by the lanes she reminsced the days of pre-wedding, college days, school days...the days when she wore smile as if it was the most essential jewel, when she would laugh her heart out even on the silliest joke; and as she came back to reality she sighed on how her life had turned in this three months.
She yet turned back as they were about to turn in the right direction towards her mami's house...she saw Shiva's distant figure walking in opposite direction and Dhara standing at the door. She realised how much she used to admire being a bahu in Pandya niwas, the only dream her eyes dreamt of.
He was just walking, unable to meet his own eyes, he knew he cannot run away like this and would've to probably answer all questions...more specifically 'allegations' put on him; but for the time being he wanted to be aloof; away in the solitude to get himself composed, he didn't knew what he did was right or wrong...and more importantly was it really what he wanted to do or was that his rage doing all this. He had no answer to this.
The one thing which had lingered him all the lane as he walked towards the highway road is that when he was asked to leave as a punishment and everyone had stopped him but he was reluctant not to pay attention to it, but when she told him with the firmness and fire she had within her, he stopped at the door itself, subconsciously though but...why did he?
He asked himself, who was at the odds, he himself or her? He also had no answers to the questions...he climbed the tree and sat there on the stiff branch of neem tree...maybe the bitterness inside him or the bitterness in their relation would compete the bitterness of the neem, he let out a sigh as he mocked on irony of their lives.
