As the tiny little droplets of water started drizzling, making their way to land and falling here and there, she felt her body cooling down and suddenly lightening striked in the sky and she shivered...and came back to reality all of that was just a HALLUCINATION of her...and in reality he was not there...she hadn't walked forward and was faraway to the end of the cliff, she shrugged clearing her thoughts of how can he be here and why did she longed for his presence, indeed he had saved her when she tried ending her life on the day of their marriage and then when the roof was about to fall at the khandar; but as she reminisced the day of puja and when they were at the khandar, she remembered how she had seen fear in his eyes, a strange fear...but of what...of loosing her?
Or being in guilt of not being able to save a person, and ofcourse she did knew that she was not a mere person for him..she had been the only girl in his life, the only enemy...but why was she not able to be the only person, even he could have fallen in love with her...she thought to herself; was she so unwanted and so unworthy that no one could love her or accept her...she definitely was feeling broken and her heart felt like the crushed pieces of glass, making her bleed own self by the tears...and the lightening striked again, the roar was so heavy she shivered and unknowingly moved her legs backwards 3 to 5 steps...and her back hit a stiff figure, she immediately understood it was him; she thought it would be her mind again, playing tricks with her and this would be hallucination too , but then instantly she drowned into a sweet memory from the haveli during pagfera days when she hit her back with him again and he had saved her from the random boys who were harassing her then, near the haveli garden...she remembered her words when she had addressed him as "Mera Wala Gunda" and "Meri Team-Wala"; she remembered how they had walked down to the out-house given to mami and when their hands had brushed against each-other that was a strange feeling but a good one she felt to herself, she remembered how she blushed and he got awkward; and how he had messaged asking her whereabouts and if she had slept or not and she was not frightened...and how cute banter they had on chats and how he mistakenly ended up video-calling her and when she had asked about why did he cared if she has slept or not and whether she was okay or not he had stammered as he was lying and just said "bas ese hi" but he did cared and if he cared then what happened that he was not caring now..or probably was he behaving as he didn't because he has been always best at hiding his emotions as she hit her back again, now she had confirmed that it was no one else but him, she turned her face towards him...and saw his restless but blank face, tears dried up, his face looked tired and defeated; sleeplessness and pain was clearly visible in her eyes...but he was silent.
Normally, he would have scolded her but he said nothing, he just stared, his eyes didn't even blink, but maybe his silence had made more meaningful conversation with her heart enough to understand a lot of things he had not said and a lot of feelings he had not expressed.
Maybe his silence cleared what she felt for him, she thought to herself...he said nothing more but dragged her roughly and she did not even protested she was drowned in the rivers of realizations and as they reached to the roads and as he loosened his grip and pushed her back he said in a broken and painful voice but harsh tone which probably did hurt her but she had no energy left to fight with him, she was sunk in her thoughts as she had started to realise the feelings but she did manage to hear and all she heard was
"HAAN AB MERE NAAM PE MARNE KA NATAK KARKE AUR DUR KARDE MUJHE SABSE...HU NA MAI JUNGLI , GAWAR, JAAHIL AUR VOH TO ESA HI KARTE HAI...DEKH APNE KAAN KHOLKE SUNLE AUR TERE CHOTE DIMAG MEIN YEH BAAT FIT KARLE KE HUMARE RAASTE ALAG HAI AB AUR TERE KOI KARNAME KA ZIMMEDAAR MEIN NAHI HU...TUJHE JO KARNA HAI KAR PAR IDHAR NAHI...TUJHE JO KARNA HAI KAR PAR MERE IDHAR SE CHALE JAANE KA BAAD...CHALA JAUNGA IDHAR SE MERI TEL MASALE KI BADBU LEKAR AUR NAHI AAUNGA MUDKE FIR KARTE REHNA JO NATAK KARNA HO"
Though she was just hearing and not paying attention as she was feeling a lot of emotions, a lot of thoughts hitting her rigorously and she swaying into it one and the other, also confused but suddenly she was stroked with a realization as her mind lingered on his lines as he said "chala jaunga yaha se..." and she thought what was she to do if he had left Somnath, if he had left her on this page of their story; it would be unfair for not only her or him or their family but more importantly it would have been unfair to their vows, the promises, their words, their relationship and mostly to their hearts.
As he started going away and she was standing still like a cement made figure of a lady drowned in the depth of her thoughts but as she was now awakened by a subtle fear of loosing him, she feared, her body shivered down making her way to the senses and as she could see his figure getting smaller as he walked in to the middle of the road, moving away...moving away from her. She screamed on top of her voice, "SHIVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA RUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!" but maybe he ignored or amidst the chirping of birds and roaring clouds, her voice swapt away in the illusions but what was happening was in reality and she had to stop him from it ...she started running, running like it was the last run of her life, running away from lion, the lion of misunderstandings; she reached upto him in merely no time...heavy panting and legs hurting she slowed down a little as she caught his arms and said, "TU...TU MUJHE ESE CHODKAR NAHI JA SAKTA SHIVA...SHIVA MAI..MAI TUJHSE.." and before she could complete her sentence she pushed him, and the enormous truck hit her, a tiny figure who had pushed another figure to the sides..
But the predicament to how he had reached there...
As the telephone rang and Rishita talked, all he figured out was that his brothers were not able to find the whereabouts of her, her mami screaming in front of her mother and bhabhi; he knew where to find her but his complex had stiffened him so much that he refrained from going in search of her, instead he rushed towards the door and hastily walked down the streets of somnath, to avoid any gazes and the gossips people had started making; he went to that old aged neem tree, the only place or rather the only living organism that has witnessed him in dilemma, him crying his heart out and him drowned in thoughts of what to do and what not to do; as he rested himself down because his body ached from sleeplessness and restlessness he had been into since past few days...but he was not able to rest his chain of thoughts which his worrying heart had made all of them, about her... but as he shut his eyes trying to feel peace, his heart told him that his peace was missing, it somehow went with her, or maybe she herself was his peace he felt asleep and as his eyes closed, he entered the world of dreams or mares?
He saw her standing near the cliff tired, her eyes swollen, she definitely was not at all okay, he would have caressed her cheeks or took her into his embrace and hugged her so much and apologized. Because out of all the only thing his heart knew that she would come back, one apology and she could've melted before even the ice melts in hot water, she was so soft hearted none could be and even if others would've kept grudges she would have not instead she would stop all who made grudges and shut their mouths in protest, standing up for him...but before he could stop, she moved forward and before any of them can move...she fell, and he gasped in sleep, waking up as his hands stretched and he managed to scream, "RAAVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII............."
His eyes opened wide, he had to stop her but then what justification he could give because it had been always difficult for him to answer her questions, it triggered him like no one did...one thought brushed his mind that was leaving Somnath for always, he did not had time to think about the pros and cons or any of the consequences but yet again his fear took over, the fear he had of loosing her...the same happened at the khandar and now as he saw recurring, he hurriedly got down the tree and started going towards the old hill on outskirts of Somnath but alarmingly looking here and there in case she might be found...and as he reached he confirmed that he was right, she was ready to end her life when he did the jumping stunt for kangans and she was yet more courageous and proud not to let her self-respect down, but if she was frustrated, only he can predict her actions and not herself; he saw her standing and as the lightening striked and she moved backwards, her back hit his stiff chest, and he could smell the fragrance of jasmine from her hair, apparently, which he missed a lot and as she turned after a minute or two, all he could do is stare of how irresponsible she had become, she looked tired, broken and her tears flowing down her cheeks, he was so dumbstruck, he just stared...
