can i call you baby?
can you be my friend?
THIRD PERSON.
As the next day arrived and the Why Don't We boys had spent the morning in the studio already working on the next song for upcoming release, it was approaching lunchtime when Jack spoke up about the idea of going for lunch.
And as four of them decided to head out to the nearest restaurant, Corbyn stayed behind to finish up some smaller details and talk to Randy about his current determination of getting Rosemary into the promo idea they had.
Leaving his current mess at his workspace, he left the room and headed down the hall towards Randy's smaller office, adjusting his sweatshirt on the way over to it before he stopped just outside the room.
Looking through the small window in the door as he went to knock, his face fell slightly while he let out a deep sigh, noticing a girl sat on the opposite side of the desk to his manager.
"No no no." Corbyn mumbled to himself with his hand pressed against his forehead, watching the two engage in a conversation from outside of the room, recognising his best friend just from the back of her hair.
He backed away from the door to the office and leant against the wall just a few feet away from it, waiting for the meeting to end whilst he folded his arms, a frown stuck on his face.
After hearing the door creak open and the girl walk out of the room, he shook his head and sighed while beginning to follow her.
"Rosemary." Corbyn called out as she walked down the hall, watching her stop and turn around before a smile appeared on her face.
"I was just about to ask if you wanted to go for lunch," she replied, "my treat, of course."
"What was all of that about?" He asked with a small frown as she shrugged and gave him a tight-lipped smile.
"He asked if I'd be interested in fake dating you to help with the promotion of the album," Rosemary explained as Corbyn's palm went to his forehead for a second time, "I asked him what your thoughts were on it and he said you were really up for it and that I'd be an idiot to turn it down."
"Please tell me you were an idiot and turned it down." Corbyn mumbled in response as the girl tilted her head and laughed slightly.
"I did at first because you know, we're best friends and I don't want to act like a couple but he was super persistent with it and said I can't want to support you that much if I'm not willing to help promote," she explained and shrugged as Corbyn looked at her.
"So he forced you?"
"...did he?" Rosemary furrowed her eyebrows, "I don't know."
"I'm so, so sorry you're being dragged into this." He shook his head, the pair walking down the hall as Rosemary gave him a smile.
"Oh don't be, all is well as long as I get to keep my little florist shop." She replied, "besides, it's only to the media so it's nothing we wouldn't usually do. It's just holding hands and hugging more often, we do that and it's never weird."
"We won't make this weird." Corbyn shook his head, "nothing will change, i'm really sorry if this has impacted any part of your calendar."
"Corbyn, it is okay." Rosemary raised her eyebrows and smiled, "I don't see an issue with it, it's nothing out of the blue unless they force us to suddenly kiss."
