Since arriving at the store that morning, Harry was quickly to notice all the small mistakes his boss had been making, beginning to learn that he had to spend majority of his shift picking up behind her or fixing the messes she'd leave.
With every small mistake made, there was either a complaint, a groan or a loud sigh taken by the girl before she shook her head and moved on to her next task, leaving a trail of mess wherever she walked in hopes the next person would clean it for her.
A small crease in Harry's eyebrows, which had been beginning to become permanent from the confusion his boss had been giving him, he finally shot his eyes up at her once a word not often using her vocabulary was mumbled under her breath, followed by a deep breath.
"Are you okay?" Harry asked, standing at the other side of the store while watching Rosemary place both her hands on the counter.
"I can't seem to do my job properly today." She complained, rolling her eyes before looking at her list of orders needing to be done.
Harry slowly nodded before glancing at the time, "wanna take a breather? Go for a walk or something?"
"No, I'm fine." She frowned, pushing off of the counter and starting the next bouquet for order.
"Okay," he slightly frowned, walking over to her as he glanced over to her laptop, doing a second take once noticing the blank calendar, "what's with this?"
"Hm?"
"What's with the blank calendar?" Harry asked, "where's all your time blocking stuff?"
"I thought i'd try something new," she shrugged, "go with the uh, go with the flow for once."
"...Right." He furrowed his eyebrows slightly, going back to his previous task of sweeping as Rosemary kept her stare on her calendar.
"Much less strict, do you feel-"
"What the fuck did Ev say to you?" Harry interrupted her as he turned back around, staring straight at his boss while she suddenly paused.
"I'm sorry?" Rosemary said through a small laugh.
"Because she won't fucking tell me and you've been acting weird ever since that like one night she was off." He argued, "I'm sorry for swearing at you."
Rosemary remained quiet and seemed taken aback as she glanced between him and her laptop, a side glance to her phone as a call began to come through from Corbyn.
"You had a meeting with her, right? Next day you do a no-show to work and I had to frantically call for back-up in store, insanely unlike you I might add." He shrugged in annoyance and confusion, "Now, you've been so anxious and unlike yourself and suddenly your calendar, a massive part of your life has just vanished. What the fuck was said, Rosy?"
"I mean.. have you spoke to her since she got this new job?" He asked, "has she asked how it's been? How you are? Is she a clone of Thea or what?"
"I suggested to keep her on the books, in case she wanted to ever do a couple shifts and make some extra money," she explained, "she said she could never come back to this after her better and more laidback job."
"There would be no silly little calendar to boss her about." She admitted, looking down at her laptop while Harry took a deep breath and shook his head, "I've had it deleted since."
